Pikpok, you started a good debate, heh. For me nothing controversial on your cross path. lp

In Austria/Switzerland (they have fetishes for crosses) I haven't seen anyone climbing on crosses Maybe that's why they have so many ferratas Lp, Nino

pikpok knows exactly that this behavior is wrong. But he's just spoiled and likes to show off. A person with a head on their shoulders doesn't do that...

Ok, crosses, geocaches, towers, benches, tables... But who walks on geocaches? Do you agree to walk on Aljaž Tower? Why destroy something that someone else built. When you first invest effort in something you'll know what it means.

I'm an atheist and think that we should treat existing crosses with maximum respect and renew/maintain them if needed, because like it or not they are part of the mountain or the ascent experience. But I'm against erecting new crosses, especially on one's own initiative/just anywhere someone feels like it. I'm only for it if there was a cross before but it was removed for political or similar reasons.

With crosses there are crosses. I carry my five all the time with me, can't even sleep without them

THE HRIBI.NET WEBSITE IS VERY WELCOME, SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS AND MORE EXPERIENCED HIKERS. UNFORTUNATELY IT HAS LOST OVER THE YEARS ITS PURPOSE OF REPORTING CONDITIONS AND ROUTES EXACTLY BECAUSE OF ANONYMOUS PEOPLE LIKE YOU. IF OTHER PORTALS BLOCK YOU THEN YOU WASTE YOUR TIME HERE AND HINDER OTHERS ACCESS TO CONDITIONS. I'VE BEEN NOTICING FOR A LONG TIME THAT SERIOUS PEOPLE ARE LEAVING AND NOT REPORTING, THEREFORE CALLING THE ADMINISTRATOR TOO. More work will be needed to restore order. First delete inappropriate comments, if needed remove anonymous users who besmirch the portal. Have a nice day Bruno

"PURPOSE OF REPORTING CONDITIONS AND ROUTES" no ja; pikpok described the conditions and threw in a couple photos. can't blame him for that. that he hung on the cross though....reflection of Slovenian culture (balkans of course); if we have folks supporting black builder zaklj who honored himself with a weekend house in the middle of TNP and bureaucrats who look away at that fact and make exceptions; if we have folks who bathe in Triglav lakes, folks dragging harmonica/rubber ducks/sunshades/... to Triglav and sing or yell on the path or from the top...this hanging on the cross is still the smallest blunder or obviously something normal for Slovenia, sadly. we know how to act better and be appalled at "Czechs" who hike in sandals. irony.

The cross is not just a religious symbol. It is a symbol of values that people in this area have been cultivating for centuries. And when I go to Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, everywhere I meet a cross and feel at home. I'll be worried when the cross is no longer to be seen. Sitting on the cross doesn't bother me, as long as it's strong enough to hold the weight. Maybe pikpok feels closer to God that way.

seinfeld thanks a lot for those values please look a bit into history (present too) for all "this cross" is responsible, before you talk about values it symbolizes, cause your view is totally off reality...

A bit joking but mostly serious , if I must choose what stands on summits, between pentagram, crescent and cross, I pick cross definitely. And, if the cross is the right size, it's the most practical to sit on. Right #pikpok? Personally I find lounging on peaks more primitive, like umbrellas, loungers, high heels etc. So one or two pics of sitting on cross not so bad. Maybe symbolism in pic (dunno...maybe suffered stations of cross climbing up , etc.)
