Pik pok, and it's already on the cross. Next time with crampons scratching on the roof of Aljaž Tower...

Crampons won't touch the cross if a person has at least a little strength in their hands... :/

Maybe someone steps on your car sometime. Can be without crampons too. It won't bother you.

Why posing on the cross? Ah, for boosting self-confidence. Pointless.

@pikpok Picture 4 shows your lack of basic manners.

Well-mannered, well-equipped mountaineer who enlightens others about path dangers. Yeah, you're allowed to climb markers and summit crosses, and sit on them like a magpie posing for photographers.

Pikpok. For some the cross (mountain top) means something else than your awkward car comparison. The photo itself is fine and probably not meant as provocation. But I think it's still unnecessary and somewhat uncultured to sit on the cross. I think mountaineering's motto should be respect for nature and fellow men. Easier to grasp: sitting on bar or table in mountain hut isn't cultured... But nice and right you don't litter mountains, scare no animals and warn hikers of dangers...

pikpok has incurable disease like many others - lack of attention. everything else "checks out".

Ah stop already - kids. Who owns mountain tops to put crosses on them?

Maybe the cross was used this time just as prop for "artistic installation", like the cross burning above Strunjan once.

I agree with KJ, why are there crosses on the summits?

yeah then put up FB signs on all summits. will that be okay? That's why there's a cross, because someone put it there, didn't you know? But he didn't build a climbing wall on top of the mountain, do you see the difference?

The picture is great. I really haven't seen anyone sitting on a cross on any hill... but if it survives lightning it will be that too. Otherwise when (I think) Viharnik put up a cross on Kalški greben, someone removed it soon after...:confused

Very simple solution. All crosses and similar junk down from the summits and there will be peace. And these unnecessary debates won't be there anymore. If someone wants a cross, let him put it on his house, in the house, and for me if he even takes it to bed. But you can leave the mountain summits alone.

I'm not religious, but I respect all symbols that mean something to others and leave them alone. Crosses on summits are not only religious symbols, but also lightning rods, verified from personal experience. That's why they should be respected.
