On Saturday we headed to the second highest peak in the Julians, which is located in Italy. After a good 3 hours of driving we arrive at the Pecol pasture, which is our starting point. From the beautiful Pecol pasture we head towards our goal, on the pasture we meet plenty of cows and marmots, who just run around and whistle and even turn some Milko mežikanje

. After walking the grassy slope we equip ourselves with helmets and head into the rocks with chamois, who accompany us all the way to the top and throw stones zavijanje z očmi

, so helmet mandatory. While following the chamois along the path we suddenly stand in front of the famous Pipan ladder zavijanje z očmi

, which is 60 m long and facilitates access to the top. Montaz is really a beautiful mountain, offering great views and worth a visit. I hope we return to these parts to the world of marmots and chamois sometime mežikanje

In this bend, the road branches off to Planina Pecol in Sella Nevea.

Great pics! It really was a great day; we even had the luck that due to relatively late departure from LJ and taking pics lower on the path we avoided the crowd on the ladder, and we were alone at the top. But I think we met in the evening at the cars velik nasmeh

. Fidenegg snowfield is full of fresh snow that doesn't pose special obstacle. But it's wet which can be problem if temperatures drop below zero. Few people, lots of ibex and marmots rolling on rocks. In short ... wonderful day big

Today on Montaz and Spik hude police. No new snow anymore, path normally passable, Leva path equipped with new cables. On Montaz there weren't many of us, on Spik hude police quite a bit too many. Lp Miro

For some time I wanted to do a circular tour from Zaizera crossing the Poliški Špiki. Well, yesterday's day was more than perfect for enjoying this beautiful corner of the Julian Alps. I started at parking lot no. 6 in Zaizera. First across scree slopes, then to the marked path leading to bivouac Stuparich. From the bivouac I head to the path for Via Amalia and soon was at the entry to the climbing path. I enjoyed the path and the views. Soon I was higher up, where you need to cross grass to the right until the view to the west side opens up. Then follows crossing to bivouac Suringar. Climbing in the Findenegg snowfield is delightful, actually I like it more than Amalia itself. At the top of Montaz I didn't linger long. I climbed also to Vrh Brda, then descended to the start of path Leva. At Špik Hude Police there was quite a crowd, so I skipped it this time and lower headed to path Ceria Merlone. At Špik nad Nosom I hang around a bit and head towards Špik nad Špranjo, which is ascended via a gully. At the top I enjoy the view of the already traversed path. Still waiting was the path to Vrh Krnega dola and before it a bend towards Škrbina prednje špranje. Followed descent over really difficult scree, then past bivouac Mazzeni and towards scree slopes in the valley, where I finished the loop. It was as always in these areas, wonderful! mežikanje

Altogether a little over 12 hours. I wasn't in a hurry anywhere, just normal walking, photographing, several stops... nasmeh

Last weekend spent on two wonderful hikes in the sun (despite bad forecasts), as we chased away the mists with good spirits. Saturday Montaz and Sunday Mangart from the lakes.
