Planning ascent to Montaž via Fidenegg ice field and interested in conditions in left gully and winter experiences with ascent in the ice field? Descent via Pipan ladder...Suggestions,comments?

There in the NW, there's nothing to look for now. The Findenegg couloir is climbed only at the end of March or beginning of April, when the sun firms and settles the snow. The tour is more suitable for alpinist trainees than for us hikers. This winter, you have to count on quite unevenly deposited snow in the couloir due to strong northerly wind, avalanches, cornices, hollow blown structures, covered ice under the snow.
This is not a toy even for the more experienced, I suggest staying home by the stove.

Yesterday via Via Amalia, 4 short snow patches with soft snow, not problematic, can bypass on rocks too, didn't use crampons or ice axe. Return via Pipan ladder, passage practically snow-free. Super tour!
