On Monday 1.9.2015 to Montaž. Excellent weather, little visitors up top, crowd down below. Beautiful path and peace at the summit. Helmet absolutely necessary, soon something flies at your head from some four-legged creature.

Hello. Wondering if it's possible to reach Montaž via Lojtra without winter gear?
regards

Via Lojtra, yes, further on the ridge I think no.

Interesting would be ascent via Pipanova ladder with crampons on feet and ice axe in hand.

Janez Seliškar, repeat the idea once more, and some extreme alpinist will really show up.

It wasn't even once that we walked with crampons on the ice mežikanje.

At some points along the ridge the path runs on the north side and there's snow there, so proper gear needed, what's not clear mežikanje.

bog lonaj. now it's clear to me. why not this answer in full length right awaynasmeh
just that with crampons seemed unnecessary to me, and without crampons äh no hard feelings

Igor Zlodej, I just jokingly hinted at the idea for ascent on Pipan ladder with crampons. Obviously some really master it too.

Today to Montaz up Findenegg gully and down Pipan ladder. In upper part of gully lots of frozen snow and full gear needed, further on ridge to Pipan ladder ok without. Started at 6.30, met no one.

Hi!
19.11.2015. Beautiful day, last ascent to Montaz in summer conditions. Didn't meet anyone all day. From Pecol pasture, up Pipan ladder to summit, back via Leva path.
Great tour and end of wanderings in Polish spires this summer-Ceria Merlone, Anita Goitan, Vis.

Nice encounter along the path ;)6
Montaž. At the top I first secured and straightened the cross, sang a toast, and lounged for about an hour on the snow bed :)7

Road to Pecol still drivable, partly snowy and icy but ok.

To Vrh Strmali from dairy, then under Pipan ladder right to west slopes of Vrh Brda, join path from over lojtra. Ridge more or less snowy, sunlit wet, unshaded hard, crusty, icy.

Descended over lojtra.

Short question: is the path over the ladder already dry? Thanks for answer.

Answer same as last year mežikanje with the difference that above bivouac it's dry, below bivouac snowfield, and even lower some snow patch could be found.
