The mentioned one is substantially more exposed on the descent than the entire Montaž ridge from the summit to Lojtra; in wet conditions, there is a slip risk all the way to the scree below Lojtra.

Yeah, I know, I went last time through Pippan valley and then from scree to Vrh Brda and down too. Even uphill it's not too nice, and it was quite wet.

Thanks for the answer. What about the path over the glacier? I read it's climbing...
I have lots of experience with ferratas (via italiana on Mangart and similar..), but zero with climbing. So this path isn't for me?

Maybe go with someone and take a rope and some pegs and/or slings, to make it safer.

Well. With all that scree you'd probably have more hassle than benefit with a rope. I went there once quite a while ago, in roughly the same situation - I wasn't a complete novice mountaineer anymore, but it was my first encounter with such a path. And yeah, at times it felt pretty scary. To be clear, in reality nothing too bad. Most of the time even in the glacier you're hiking, but there are a couple spots you have to climb. Especially one spot sticks in my memory, where you choose either a pretty narrow chimney where you have trouble with the backpack, or a quite delicate scree slab. Otherwise technically those spots aren't anything special and won't trouble inexperienced climbers. The bigger issue is really the huge amount of scree, even in steep terrain, where extreme caution is really needed.
All in all, I wouldn't discourage it. Go, take a helmet, tackle it slowly and carefully. Far from easy, but doable. And you really get the big wall feeling. And the descent is easier after all.

I'm not really an expert on Montaž, but the ascent over the Findenegg glacier is wonderful, descent over the Pipan ladder, then turn left onto the transverse ferrata Leva and optional descent from the notch under Cjajnerica directly to Pecol or even earlier to Špik Hude police and down the mulatjera. Lp!

As Jax said, in the glacier there's only one more difficult part, otherwise the climbing difficulty is really minor. I recommend ascent over the glacier, back wherever you want.

@Clovek1, you don't know the path from Montaž to Nos, but you know to advise about Findenegg  what are you playing at, let him go first via lojtra, then he'll see how it goes for him.

Findenegg and western Julian Alps are not just walks. Concentration on paths is needed, stable weather and certain mountaineer experience, so Igor the expert's advice is realistic and worth consideration.
