I'm really curious how many people from LJ to Pecol drive through the Karawanks tunnel. In my opinion 0.0%

Through Vršič you surely won't burn 44€ of fuel

Even less fuel gets burned over Predel...

We're not all Ljubljančani, that we have to drive through the tunnel and past Beljak

The Ljubljančan also has it closer through Rateče and Trbiž.

Zaplotnik is surely turning in his grave, now that the path is finally more important than the goal

Given the seriousness of the topic I'd just add that Montaž is worth it on Tuesdays and amen

To the Ljubljana guys I suggest the path over Fernetiči, then towards Udine and back to Tarvisio, super path, all highway...

For those from Ljubljana, the most pleasant route to Nevejsko sedlo or to planina Pecol is through Cerkno and Tolmin and then across Učje to Italy and on the Italian highway - Tarvisio exit - to Trbiž and then to Pecol. Otherwise... it started with "is it worth it...". If it had started with "is it sensible", I'd say it would be more sensible on Sunday due to the weather. For me, mountains are never worth it financially; I always come home lighter. In all other meanings, almost all, richer by many things. Exactly as someone above wrote about Nejc: the path is important, guys, the path. The goal comes and goes, paths branch, once up, once down, now right and then left; there's neither end nor edge to this path. It is very sensible and worth it, even if not viewed through coins. In the end: Montaž not worth it, Poliški Špik conditionally, Špik nad Policami definitely.

Sherpa, of course I meant the road from Trbiž to Predel and right under Predel... Obviously it was already noticeable that the weekend was at the door.

All smart advice... To all you smartasses I suggest the route no matter where you live: go via Lazaret to Italy then via Brenner and Rosenheim towards Salzburg and from there towards Udine on the highway to Tarvisio then on the future highway to Sella Nevea... Since in Sella Nevea there's still no highway, wait till they build it... If you won't live to see it, maybe your descendants of the 10th generation will... Can also by plane via Tokyo... Otherwise, the shortest route from Ljubljana is via Rateče...

Kozorog... now you've really made me laugh, I agree with you, closest and fastest via Rateče, we two also took it there

Montaž was also one of those in the narrow selection, or rather first in line and today we quickly agree, drive to Pecol and we're already puffing under the walls of Montaž. We go across the Findenigg glacier, but stop first at bivouac Suringar, which totally "enchanted" me with its placement on just the right little shelf . We continue the path and soon we stand on the top—alone... nobody today . We sit a bit, then over the Pipan ladder, which is really special and unique, especially when it sways a little and on to the junction, where we continue on the secured Leva path all the way to Škrbina above Cijanerico and over scree and meadows to the Brazza hut for a well-deserved drink. I was enthusiastic about the path, since the ascent is practically without protections, all those natural passages, scramble and especially Leva, which has a really incredibly routed path... I recommend As for the weather, if I had listened to the forecast, I would have stayed home and missed another nice day up there somewhere higher with excellent company Igor

You two got me excited about the tour. Looks like nice climbing on your pics. Maybe I'll climb up this year after all, even though the weather is very changeable and tragedies happen like the last one when a hiker was surprised by a sudden thunderstorm with lightning.
