Yesterday from AC no snow was visible. But these days Primorska is in fog up to about 400-500 meters.

No snow. Today there was inversion. Until 3pm only Nanos, Snežnik, Učka and of course the Alps and Dolomites were peeking over the fog. Great views and pleasant conditions!

At the bottom sadness, at the top poetry for the eyes. From Razdrto via steep (left) path first 1/3 quite slippery, as it's quite muddy and thus slick. Higher up better, sun has dried the trail nicely. No wind, even less snow, plenty of sun rays. In sheltered spots summer is already felt. Back via gentle path to Hieronim BP, in the forest on steeper sections recommend careful steps, as fallen leaves quickly turn into a skating rink. Weather perfect for visiting Nanos especially for western Slo. residents covered in fog. Tomorrow again to some island rising from the sea of fog.

Damn solist. On the first photo you should have moved the camera 30-40° to the right and caught Triglav too, which was clear as day today. I'll catch it tomorrow if I go the gentle way.

Karletto, Triglav is also logged but a colleague was before him (he wasn't combed) so I didn't post it, but here it is in today's report from Snežnik.

Bravo velesa, you're brave to go to Nanos in such bora, and even make nice pics along the way.

@velesa Did they put stones in your backpack at home? Worthy of respect in such bora, if I remember we "lay" on the bora, quite without deckchairs. Best regards

Oh, thanks, thanks, girl! To take some of the pics I had to crouch too, so I wouldn't get some overpowering gust. otiv, my character weighs me down enough Otherwise I'm used to bora and it doesn't hurt me at all - it even benefits me. Today it blew away all the mosquitoes that wanted to attack me. Yes, and no crowds today, so it was even nicer. Regards also from the bora that's still whirling around corners and having its concert

Bravo Velesa! In such gusts I go via Janezova, it's all in the lee, only those few meters over the ridge sometimes require going on knees and all fours to the path.

Thanks, pepč. Many opt for Janezova in such conditions. Once over the edge, you're quickly in the forest shelter. Well, today Nanos looked substantially different than yesterday. Sun already in the morning, admittedly colder, but much less bora. It didn't display its power with snow either. And lots of visitors. Snow on the steep path is packed and slippery in places. Currently perfect clear blue sky over Nanos. Best regards. And this time no pics

Maybe someone knows what the conditions on Nanos are like lately. Thanks and best regards.

I just got back. There is 5 cm of snow on top, sometimes it slips. I didn't need crampons, but still take them with you. Auntie Bora is a bit annoying, cca. 100 km/h and sometimes easily knocks down poles. They say the Bora will calm down tomorrow. I suggest going to Nanos via the steep path and then along the west side of Pleše or Janezova, as there is more shelter there than on the gentle one.

Who knows what those black marks on the stone with "700m" are?? So this stone is a bit before the junction of the gentle and steep path. On it there is also an inscription like: "Take trash to the valley". The mentioned marks are almost erased and must be very old. Conditions today -> No snow on the west and south side of Nanos, on the east side almost a meter.

Today Nanos bathed in the sun, while fog flooded all lower Primorska areas. From Razdrto dry conditions, except a few small snow patches by the path. Just below Pleše summit it's good to take the marked trail on the NE slope, because on the ridge a nasty backwind can blow and today it was so, strong on top. Lots of visitors. Kids enjoyed, most liked those few pegs and cables... Rgds Aleš

On Saturday the 19th I was on Nanos, real winter. Climbed from Razdrto on the steep path to the hut. Below no snow, in the middle it started showing snow in drifts. At the top bora, snow, fog and... real winter. Headed further to Suh vrh where no one had gone yet, no tracks, so I searched for the direction a bit, since it was still somewhat foggy too. But later the sky opened, wind calmed and... real winter fairytale appeared. Heavenly blue sky, sun... Back from Suh vrh via Nanos past St. Hieronymus church to Razdrto. Really wonderful day. Regards, Minca
