To Jakob, the road is normally drivable, snow starts 100vm below the hut on Peca, on top some freshly fallen - 10cm and still plenty old.

I'm interested if anyone has gone from the mine over Knipsovo sedlo to Peca, if the path is normally passable.

KUMER, PECA, ČRNA, as part of K-24nasmeh

After a short snack, in the pleasant company of Julija who diligently grows, we head to Peca. Of course we need to drop some altitude to the stream. Then upwards we start carefully warming the engine. To the forest line the path is completely dry, no obstacles. Then alternating snow and dry ground. Our hope is fulfilled when the snow base holds our weights everywhere, we are not ideal. We try and effort bears fruits. Finally on windy Kordeževa glava. After signing already descending to hut. Since Dom na Peci is open we treat ourselves to a refreshing drink. Then past Tomaževa and past Miheva we step into Pristava, here by road to Črna. Flash on camera failed, so no photo conclusion. In the logbook I see three guys a few days before us did K-24.
And that's it. It was pleasant companionship. 23.30 on the way. Followed a sleepy drive to Celovec, same for Zvone to MB.
We head towards Peca.1

Must be interesting to do it in one piece. A few years ago I still thought about it, but never realized it, now it would be too much for the knees. How much did you rest in between from those 23.30 hours?

Exact rest times I didn't measure, I could check times on photos. I think all stops didn't exceed much more than an hour, but on that way, at least Zvone stood a lot and photographed, I do it with one hand while walking. The thing is quite simple, more rests - faster walk, even run. Some short stop for bigger meal - rest while walking, then no need much rest - run, important to be fast downhill, uphill you lose more. Well I on the whole path no need rest and rarely sit, except at hut if I order food. Regards Janez

Today from Topla to the summit. On the path from the mine direction there are quite some fallen trees lying on the path. New snow around 30 cm and quite sun-soft. On top windblown snow to the base and some ice slabs which are no trouble to cross.
Descended by the ascent path.

Best regards!

First dry tour to Peca this year. By bike to Mežica and ascent via ski slope, Šteng, Karavle, Dom na Peci, climbing path to Kordeževa glava. Gorgeous weather - sunny, warm, not too hot, fewer flies than on neighboring peaks, light breeze on top. Secured path exemplarily maintained and marked, no issues - dry and completely dry. On the return also visited the cave where the lighting is fine-tunedmežikanje Beautifully spent morning.
