Yesterday from Jakob past the Dom na Peci on a very demanding path to the top. Back to the starting point we descended the easy path, in between a quick hop to Kralj Matjažnasmeh.
Our seven-year-old gathered some new experiencesjezik.

On Sunday on Peca. Mežica-Dom na Peci-climbing path-Kordeževa glava-Dom na Peci-Mežica. At the top it was cloudy, views not the best, lots of people at the top and even more at the hut. No snow patches on the path, path bare, dry, fixed protections impeccable.

A bit late with the post, now there's already some light snow on top, but maybe someone will still find summery photos interesting: http://kajadebersek.blogspot.com/2014/09/podpeca-kordezeva-glava-peca.html

Weather forecast - sunny, but we were in fog all day.
From gondola Peca-Petzen along the third to Walter Mory ascent and gently back to the valley, then quick to "ferrata" Lavamünd, then home. Photos http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/

Today I chose sun over fog so decided to go to Peca. Weather excellent only on top blowing strong later wind calmed a bit. Ascent via climbing route, descent easier variant. Viewed King Matjaž cave, short stop at hut on Peca. Excellent trip wish there were more like this year. Back to start late afternoon.

KUMER-PECA-ČRNA - K-24

At Kumer with Nejc we ate delicious štruklji, drank a pitcher of milk. So we were ready for the ascent to Peca. Sweat quickly started pouring down our faces. We adjusted our speed to our abilities; otherwise I left all climbs to Nejc, so we didn't stop while hiking. The higher we were, the stronger it blew; the sun also started to set. At the top we prepared lights in the lee. Satisfied, we descended past the full hut on Peca to Črna. The path despite fatigue presented no obstacles.
Satiated and rested, we tackle the path to Peca1

For the big holiday I chose a special tour and traversing Peca along its entire length, that certainly is. I started the tour in Globasnica and climbed up a beautiful forest path to Veška planina, here frozen snow starts but no major issues. Met whole troops of chamois. Ascent to Veška kopa was on partly snow-covered terrain. From there went to Bistriška špica and further over two peaks to Končnikov vrh, followed descent to Knipsovo sedlo and final ascent to Kordeževa glava. On the top there was no wind blowing, sun was a bit frozen, view solid. Few people on top, to Knipsovo sedlo met only chamois. From top descended to Mala Peca and then via karavla, Šteng, ski slope to Mežica. Nice tour worth repeating.

Kumer,Kordeževa glava,Črna

The path would be without obstacles if three trees lying across the path were removed. From the top towards the hut they were active and cut along the path, to Črna without peculiarities.

Sunday on Peca in beautiful weather. The top of the fog was a bit after Štengami. The path to the hut is completely dry. Visit to King Matjaž, Mala Peca and via the secured path to the top. The path is snow-free and dry, and it was also very warm in the wall. The last ascent is wintry and nicely trodden from all three sides. Descent on the standard path, quite a bit of southern snow, the middle part a bit icy, the lower part slush and wet. Quite a lot of visitors on the top, a bit of breeze on the top and beautiful view. Descent to Mežica, which stayed all day under fog.

From Mitnek to the top the trail is nicely trodden and not slippery at all. From the top of Kordeževa glava towards Knipsovo sedlo and further towards Končnikov vrh there were no tracks of hikers visible. Now they are minenasmeh, until the wind erases them again of course.
Towards Knipsovo sedlo there are also some pleasant snow drifts. Morning sunshine and of course wind, my constant companion on these beautiful meadows of Peca.
The hut is open on weekends and holidays1

Today on top very windy otherwise very little snow which starts from the hut onwards but there are also dry parts in between. Shame there's not at least a little snow so it's a bit icy in places.

Hut on Peca closed today. Notice on PZS website says the hut is open: OSNP in case of nice weather. That it's nice weather (accompanied by stronger wind on top which is more or less standard on Peca) was obviously the opinion of several hikers, but apparently not the hut keepers mrk pogled. Shame.
