Today from Matjaž to Peca past the hut to Mala Peca, then traverse all the way to the path from Topla via Knepsovo sedlo to the summit. Quite strong wind on top. Return past the hut and back to Matjaž.

Yesterday up the secured climbing path to Peca. Down the normal path to the hut on Peca. Fixings in good condition, but yesterday very windy and dense fog on top, no views, but still nice. Nice greeting.

Yesterday on Peca, granddaughter first time.

Starting point chosen at "Štingah". Right at junction, chose path over Rišpek, so not too much for young hiker, rested shortly at Tomaževa and at hut on Peca. On top Pia and I searched chamois - in vain. After short view and knowing far and near area return back. Praise people responsible for maintained path. LP.

KUMER,PECA,ČRNA

At Kumer our group grows by two members, together down to ravine, then cross stream over new bridge. Quickly high enough for sunlit path. On Peca slope still some snow. To top wind and sunset accompany. Descend to open hut, then valley to Črna. At monument circular path ends. lp.

Today on winter Peca. Mežica-Karavla_Mala Peca-Kordeževa glava and same down. Snow starts at ski area above Mežica, more concretely from Karavla. Snow dry. Path trampled, no crampons or gaiters needed. Beautiful day made from 1800m, turbo wind ahead. Some visitors, all quickly turned at topjezik, I managed to sign the book and make some interesting pics. Snow good 30cm, drifted over knees, summit blown almost bare.

Sunday climbing up, classic down.
Climbing fully dry. From climbing, when you reach the plateau, there is snow. Summit fully bare. Classic down different, some snow, no problems. Good luck.

Fire on Peca a bit above the climbing path on the summit section.

Until further notice, ascent to the mountain is forbidden for all hikers. The hut on Peca is also closed.

Yesterday on Peca winter weather, a bit of snowing, low temperatures and cold wind on the summit. Pleasant winter tour. We climbed from Mitnek past the hut on Peca, which was closed. The climbing path was still closed due to the fire, although after the last snowfall such dangers no longer exist. Towards the summit noticeable about 10 meters from the path quite a lot of burned dwarf pines, the path icy and covered in snow, so in current conditions on the normal (non-climbing) path at least small crampons are mandatory. velik nasmeh
Otherwise no excessive crowds, as we met only two hikers all day.

In real winter conditions set off from Topla valley to Knipsovo sedlo and on to Pece summit, where it was blowing, but sometimes it doesn't. From the summit descend to Mala Peca and head back to Topla mine.

Yesterday on Peca. Mežica-Karavla-Hut on Peca-Kordeževa glava-Hut on Peca-Mitnek. The path to the junction at Štengah is dry, further on snow increases, on top maybe 40-50 cm. Traditional wind on top, if you can open the box and sign, no crisis with windjezik. Fire traces are also visible. Quite some visits especially midday. Recommend poles and small crampons. Towards the top quite windblown, drifted and icy. Very nice view, cloudy weather.

Today on Peca, this time a short one from Mitnek up. Track nicely trampled, lots of snow on top definitely more than 1.5 meters. First thaw, literally raining from trees, cloudy but on top mountain friendly, rewarded with some sun rays and let me snack, meaning wind quite weak for Peca. On Končnikov vrh huge number of ski tourers. View good despite clouds, quite some visits. Protected path still untouched.
