Today we tackled Hanzova, which is always different on the snowfield section. A hot day is coming, and on Hanzova it's nice because almost no sun until the top. We start a bit before 6 from in front of Koča na gozdu, slowly to the entry, no rush anywhere. When we reach the snowfield, where Srečko was already, who joined us for the continuation. We crossed the snowfield below it today, a quick decision fell on that, since you drop about 10m below it and normally continue the path.
Otherwise path all to the top ok, met two. At the top cheerful, lots of hikers, ... For descent along the ridge past the window and towards Vršič, more in pictures ...

I was also on Hanzova that day, no problems with the snowfield. Really nice and varied tour.
But on the ridge path I noticed people happily walking on Kopiščarjeva, and from the top of Prisojnik I saw some hikers on Jubilejna...

It's really a nice path, also quite demanding, but definitely not the longest. It has modest elevation gain. The walking time is also exaggerated.
If we compare, for example with Kopinškova to Ojstrica. There over 200m more elevation, walking time much less.

I agree it's a beautiful path. Harder for me are Slovenska to Mangart and ascent from Kanje to B. Grintavec, and also ascent from Kota to Rjavina...

pingvini.slo5 we didn't need crampons, we descended along the snowfield, but watch out also slippery here,, some went above the snowfield ,,very crumbly,, some had crampons and ice axe because there snowfield-living ice.. dprapr the whole path is meant,, ascent and descent.. for me it's fairy-tale because they avoided excessive drilling,, found excellent natural passages, that's why the path is also quite long and exhausting for some,, bbugari1 Slovenska to Mangart can't compare to Hanzova to Prisojnik because it's very short and little elevation,, from Kanje to B.G,, hard only because of crumbly,,

HANZ PATH ON PRISANK IS CLOSED
I found out only yesterday evening after the tour, when I got to the computer.
If there is no warning at the parking lot by the hut in the forest, or at the path start (where there is even an electronic visitor counter), there should at least be one before entering the wall.
We started relatively late and cheerfully tackled the wall. I was a bit confused by the fact that we had been walking long, but no shower anywhere. Of course the drought did its thing. Eternal ice in Devil's Gully practically gone, only remnants under sand and crossing quite demanding. Descent into it by cable not problematic, though some pitons pulled out. Progress without issues up to the famous peg ladder just below summit. Judgment day must have been fierce, as strong lightning struck at least three times in short distance and cables merrily dangle empty, rocks gape big wounds. Since Ani is rather 'short', with combined forces we overcame these obstacles and in ten minutes after less than four hours walking found ourselves among crowd of foreigners on top. Descended along ridge, after short stop before Tičar thumbs up individually quickly got each our driver. Mine sat on right side

Information about closed paths is of course available on PZS.SI, worth checking before every tour.

Mountaineer of his caliber will go anyway even if all cables are torn.
But true, if closed, there should be notice before path start, since up on Vršič really anything happens.

Thanks everyone for the kind warnings.
Lately I'm in a state where I have to check multiple times if I have my backpack. About the closure it would click for me only at the sign at first piton in wall

P.s; Anyone planning very early to Vrata tomorrow? A bit before 4am I would hand him a small backpack in front of alpine museum to leave in front of Aljažev dom, I continue to my mountains!?

Anansie I don't know about that. But I assume yes, at least for crossing that snowfield that persists on the scree all year round. I did the tour a couple of years ago right at this time, and I know that my colleague and I needed crampons and ice axe to cross that snowfield. It doesn't hurt to take it with you
