Yes there's still plenty of snow, given what I wrote above I was really surprised, sometimes sank up to the ass  From Mala Raduha onwards less sinking and descent easier too. They've nicely upgraded the road to the "parking" under Loka since my last visit.

On Saturday we plan to go to Raduha, I'm wondering if anyone has recently been up there to tell us what the path is like. Thanks for any information.

grinhorn, thanks for the info, but with sunny and warm weather, the snow will already have thinned a bit and we'll only sink up to our knees... given the views from your pictures, this is definitely worth a visit...

You'll sink much less if you head up early in the morning before the sun softens the snow. I'm speaking from personal experience, I've been to Raduha countless times in the snow. Watching the sunrise is a nice experience for a mountaineer. Have a safe trip and lots of nice moments on Raduha.

I was on Raduha on Sunday 17.4.2011, no problems. Almost to the top no snow - except small patches, which probably aren't there anymore. Only on top there was still hardened snow. With low shoes you can reach the top - no problems. LP

How is the road passability to Koča na Loki? Can one reach the parking lot?

The road was already passable a few weeks ago and is in good condition, I went up to the parking lot 10 min before the hut quite normally with my Clio

According to the description of Koča na Loki, it's open in the extended summer season, probably not even open on weekends at this time.., or maybe already...

Koča na Loki officially opens next weekend, but it will also be open on Wednesday 27.4., so for now snacks in the backpacks....

The hut won't be open tomorrow. Pity, since it looks like tomorrow there will be a proper highway to the top of Raduha.
