Road from Kosmačevih Rast icy in sections, no problems for us (with winter tires). Drove to Planina Vodole and parked there. Continued on forested ridge to top of Jelovec. From there on ridge to Lanež and to top of Raduha. Not much snow 5-10cm, but lots of bare. Path icy in places. From top of Raduha descended directly to Planina Arte. From there to Loka, Planina Javorje and back to start. Walked cca. 12km in a bit over 7 hours. NE wind and afternoon NW. Warm in lee for this season and height. Nice loop walk.

was anyone on Raduha from Loka over the weekend? How's the road to Loka? Still dry? How much snow?

Yesterday from Bukovnik to Raduha. Up to Durc some new snow on an icy base, further nicely passable. Beautiful winter idyll. More pictures and route description on https://gorskimoz.wordpress.com/2018/12/17/zimski-idila-na-raduhi/

Does anyone have "fresh" and thus current info on conditions on Raduha? From the direction of the hut at Loka... Thanks. Valerija

Today Raduha was quite visited. Our starting point was Kosmačeve Rastke. The road was a bit icy, further to Loka probably too. On the icy parking lot under the hut, some cars. The path itself was icy in spots, otherwise a snowy path to below the summit, where more care is needed again.

I'm curious how much snow there is, if it's trodden from Radušnik. I assume the track is there and it's icy. Thanks for the reply.

Today 11.1. I set off from Radušnik, past Loka, towards the summit. Morning was cloudless, sun shone on me already above the farm.
No snow at the starting point, a little fresh sprinkled in the forest before the road under Loka. On the pasture under the hut there was strong wind and everything was frozen.
Towards the summit there were occasional strong gusts, new snow around 10 cm, under the summit more, the summit itself partly blown to grass. On top momentary strong wind, so quite cold. Path from hut to summit untouched, dusted with dry snow. Below summit I also used crampons, which are not necessary, but a bit icy, no panic. Views on a clear day wonderful. Only two of us on top. Returned the same way.

Conditions today similar to those described by the predecessor. Gusts of NE wind swept the top of V. Raduha, shifting bodies of visitors. At the top a quick photo and escape to shelter, which you got under Mala Raduha.

Conditions since Saturday 9.2.- past Snežna jama up (now walkable, wasn't before), icy at top, down to Loka ok, nicely trodden. Not much snow.

Today up from Radušnik.
From the hut onwards nice track, which we further consolidated. Last slope under summit quite icy, so crampons more than welcome. wink

The day though....wonderful. smile

From Durc direction there were no tracks yet.

Another look back on return... really nice day it was.

Today to the top from Radušnik. It was frozen and as garmont said, well trodden. Few hikers. Crampons are handy...at least there. On the descent we went up to Mala Raduha too. Hut at Loki closed.

I went from Radušnik. As far as I saw, the road was quite icy and rutted from logging. At the parking lot, full of logs. On Sunday, no cars there.

No, icy already soon after the junction where the little bridge is, that's only 1,050 m. I wouldn't or didn't risk it (4WD, new tires), also because I don't know the road in normal conditions.

I started at Radušnik. No snow to Loka anymore. At the parking under Loka, an SUV was parked (foresters there), road for normal cars probably still (not) drivable.
From Loka to the top, pleasant morning walk, frozen because warmer above 1500 m than in the valley and not yet soft. Completely different on return after 12, snow fully softened.
Little snow for the season anyway, no ski tourers, logical.
