Yesterday as a family from the village Prtovč, up via Razor and down via Po(v)den. Our six-year-old spent another beautiful day in nature nasmeh

when an ant gives you new strength for the ascent :)

It was mid-morning when I got to Prtovč. Over Povden gor I head towards Ratitovec. I hadn't walked 10 minutes when dry twigs started cracking above the path, a roe deer I think. Well, a nice chamois jumps onto the path a few meters ahead of me nasmeh

It looks ahead into the steep slope and doesn't notice me at all. I stand perfectly still, just quickly grab the camera from the bag. It spots me too, but doesn't dash off, it wasn't quite clear to it what this thing standing there was jezik

It was really funny how it stretched its neck figuring out what it was nasmeh

Then it clicks for it, jumps back into the slope where it came from and slips a couple times. A couple more jumps and it's in tree cover. Nice experience, really brightened my day mežikanje

A little below the summit I meet a couple people already heading back. After a short break before the hut, I walk to Altemaver and on to Kremanta.
Easy walking on the vast Ratitovec pasture. A light breeze took care that the heat wasn't felt too much.
I head back to the hut and a bit lower down to those rocks above the Povden path and chill a bit. Then slowly to the valley. It was nice nasmeh

The picture is rather blurry, but the jump isn't bad, right?

Yesterday for a "quick hop" to Ratitovec I chose the path from Sp. Danj to Zgornje Danje (last year they asphalted ca 300m road through Zabrdo village, this year more of the road through Zg. Danje) to Zabrdo, then right after the village on unmarked hunter trail that takes you under cliffs and to hut. I returned via Altemaver and Kremant to Danjarska planina.
Conditions were almost ideal, only the cold wind was annoying...in running shirt I had to keep moving well.

From Prtovč over Povden to the hut on Ratitovec, to Gladki vrh then Altemaver and down Razor. Fog, sun, wind, snow, super!!!!

Yes, today nice weather, though as I recall no such forecast .. I have 2 questions: will tomorrow be same weather as today nasmeh

and since I haven't hit the tire guy yet wonder if to Prtovč possible with summer tires nasmeh

Probably details about conditions and my route to Ratitovec won't interest you. Started from Prtovč because it was almost 3 pm. Beginning muddy, then more snow, nice trodden path; with altitude snow increases and plenty of it, about 40cm. On ascent on visible path slippery only few spots trampled enough. Windy under/by hut....rest....back same way at direct path to valley slid the last part (had slippery pants, went like toboggan), then descent through forest and muddy bit to start where day still awaited, night got me in Poljanska dolina. Went faster because maybe go up again to know time up and down. No backpack but essentials in pockets.

Yesterday to Ratitovec first time this season on skis which we put on already at car under Rihtarica. Then road over Jesenovec and planina Klom. Nature still untouched trees thickly snow-covered. Beautiful idyll disturbed only by fog below summit.
Back skied down with two colleagues along ascent route. Too much snow had to stick to ski track from ascent. Skied to car. Lp
