I went this morning through Poden gor and back via Razor. Classic loop for me.
Snow starts at Prtovč, where it was just dusted white. At Podnu ca. 15 cm, then it increases quickly. At the top windblown, otherwise I think ca. 40cm. Somewhere windblown, elsewhere up to the butt... Trail via Razor is trodden, via Poden I was first to where path from Torka joins I think. From there someone ahead. Good, otherwise I'd wander a lot, thick fog. At top fog, wind and snow. Winter

Today from Torka to Ratitovec and a bit further to Altamaver. Almost to hut fog, then like cut off. Many visitors today enjoyed the sunshine and we just wish for such weather and dry snow.. GOOD LUCK all mountaineers...

At start we thought easy job, solid snowshoe track past hunters hut led, but ended after half hour approx. Predecessors gave up on growing thickness of loose snow blanket. From there to top Kremant snowshoes no big help. Path continuation on ridge and over Altemaver no issues, all new snow blown to west slopes obviously. Since back same way now track still quite solid.

From Prtovča via Planina Klom to Ratitovec.
To alpine pasture we broke trail with snowshoes, from there touring skiers took over who caught us at pasture and went on to Ratitovec.
Huge snow, without snowshoes or skis no go.
After virgin white exploration at pasture descended to Vratica saddle and from there to Ratitovec. Top quite windy.
Back via Razor.
Finally that real winter day ...

To Ratitovec via Povden from Petrovč. Start path snow soft sinks some places, from Povden on crampons as very icy. Snow from there hard compact, last ascent takes energy. Top blowing like 100 devils but views easy endure. Cheers, Ben

Which path from Prtovča is easier in the snow, over Razor or Povden? Especially, I have in mind the possibility of slipping. Thanks for the answer

U&O Went over Razor a few days ago. Path is trodden, snow doesn't sink in, just one fallen tree soon at start, so need to duck a bit Wide and safe path, no slips, suitable for all hikers. Crampons recommended, but possible without them too.

Over Razor. Povden just below summit very frozen and a bit strenuous to ascend. Without crampons, already dangerous too...

I on Sunday broke trail from Dajen. As much as I saw the path from B. sedlo is trampled.

Today from Prtovča over Razor to Krekova koča on Ratitovec. Path in lower part quite muddy, higher covered with rotten snow, towards top snow holds and doesn't sink. Otherwise snow steadily melting. Weather clear, spring warm, with some wind on top, no crampons needed, rather gaiters. Hut closed, met quite a few hikers and ski tourers. Also, path nicely passable, fully cleared of fallen trees.
