It's passable, but not open, that's the difference.

Judging by the photos, the new path will be somewhat more attractive than the previous one.

How did they bypass the TNP Act? In the first protection zone among other things it is forbidden: 14. to build new mountain, tourist and other paths and trails, to widen and mark them, except marking historical and thematic paths with the consent of the national park manager;

This one will really be more demanding than the previous which was almost a walk. On PZS site it says: "This meant that for the legal establishment of the new section of the mountain path it was necessary to obtain the consent of the land owner Municipality of Bovec, consent and joint inspection of TNP, and consents from the Institute for the Protection of Natural and Cultural Heritage and the RS Environment Agency. The Radovljica Mountaineering Association obtained the mentioned consents during this time, so we were able to start the works despite autumn."

So many approvals... so many institutions... so many officials... so many official salaries... people on the begging stick. Of course expenses need to be balanced with revenues. Easiest with 500 EUR fines for parking in Stara Fužina.

husky, it's not about a new path, which was obviously also the interpretation of TNP Institute, otherwise they wouldn't have given approval.

Can we please not destroy another thread? By the way, there's almost no traffic in the desert. Just think how black snow is at end of season in middle of mountains, then you'll see why urban rainwater is easily polluted too.

Water is black because we humans are the cause of general air pollution. Rainwater, though, if you haven't heard, still purifies itself through the soil and gravel without our intervention for now. It looks like you're really too young to remember water bills from 30 years ago, when it only covered water usage in m³ and the connection fee, which was almost free back then.

In cities there's almost no gravel, soil or other potential sinks, so everything is connected to the sewerage. And even if you look at a field, that's no solution there either, because pollutants are just transferred from the air to the soil. What we ourselves discharge into the water often exceeds the filtering capacity of the soil, so it's even less rosy. Yeah, great that the path to Razor is open again.

Probably the geography of the Sava gravel is completely foreign to you, which covers the wider area of the entire Ljubljana basin. For your claims about polluted water falling from the atmosphere, my neighbor who has been watering the garden with rainwater from the roof for years would long ago be under rubble. Sewage and rainwater never travel through the same pipes, but each through its own. Jeez, what greens you are up there on hribi.net

In this case we can only thank the markacists who fixed the path but still cautiously because of past landslides, even though they can be handsome.

Bravo to the team that did the job! Razor was never a very crowded mountain. And the passage through which part of the path runs will only add some mountain charm to it.

If I understand correctly, the path to Razor is now somewhat shortened, if nothing else because it goes more directly. Am I wrong?

Carpe Diem247, probably it's as you nicely put it, but we'll have to check it out live, unless winter comes first.
