A long time no one has written about the Rinkes, so I'll ... below the Žleb one could wallow like on Judgment Day after the last snowfall, in the couloir super conditions, but when you reach the sun then brutal heat (as usual this winter in the high mountains). In short, a nice day spiced by the first ascent of Rinke nasmeh

Nice greeting. On holiday Monday we plan a trip to Rinka waterfall and further to Okrešelj. So I'm interested (if anyone knows), is any section of the path still under snow?

Yesterday to Mala, Styrian and Carinthian Rinka from Okrešelj and back. In Turkish Gully no problems neither with snow (frozen in the morning, partly slushy around one), nor with falling rocks. Otherwise it was on the path from the exit of Turkish Gully (at seven in the morning) to the Rinkas themselves. To Styrian Rinka it was not particularly wading for me, then snow with sun becoming more soupy and conditions worse hour by hour, spring of course and so I postponed Kranjska Rinka to summer.

NAVIHAN, great pics. Last season I came from Ledine in dry conditions only to the first Rinka. This year I plan to go to all three.

You can get to Koroška Rinka already without winter gear, but you need to cross a small snow patch (risky). Kranjska still has quite a nice snow patch.... It was blowing pretty hard up there today, otherwise it was finenasmeh

Is winter gear needed? When going to Kranjska, can you avoid snow or is it too dangerous?

better to wait a bit more until it melts, or crampons and ice axe, I wouldn't risk it, I'll upload a photo and you judge yourself.

Has anyone gone from Ledine towards Rinke lately? Are conditions still the same or better? For 9.-10.7. we plan a trip to this part of Kamniks for now. We can avoid Kranjski Rinki. Thanks.

Last week I was on Baba and returned via Austrian side over the saddle past Ledinski vrh back and looked towards Rinke and even photographed them. No snow visible. From below they looked quite friendly. Don't know more. Plan to go to all three Rinke in about two weeks also from Ledine.
Rinke from start to end.1
To correct myself, some snow was visible after all.2
I think there will be significantly less this weekend.3
And if there is, it will be southern and won't pose a big problem.4
Very early in the morning it might be a bit icy, I take ice axe, crampons just in case, helmet obligatory, for the fixed cables climbing gloves and lots of good mood. Go bravely!5

Thanks for the info and pics. Conditions are changing, especially as high temperatures melt the snow quickly.
The problem is, if conditions are not favorable (snow), it's hard to change route and pick another peak there. Maybe another starting point and peak..

On Sunday I'm heading Okrešelj-Križ-Rinke and back through the Turkish gully, is there still any snow?

There are four Rinke by my knowledgenasmeh
But it interests me which peak that is next to Križ on the 2. Velkavrh picture? Not Kranjska, not Mala (though some named it so).. who knows?
