The problem is with supervisors who allow such a situation. The same applies to bivouacs that foreigners exploit for gain and serve as apartments. Lately campervans appear at mountain trailheads where they weren't before and leave trash behind.

Where there's a small P sign on the pole. For Poldov Rovt you drive a couple of 100m further and you'll see it on the left.

It would be enough if in summer it was open for all traffic from 5.00 to 8.00 and afternoon from 17.00 to 22.00. In between only public transport. This way no one in the valley or before it would be disturbed.
I think first it was said that in the morning traffic for all until parking spots in valley full. Then only public. Why now thinking about different parking fees?
And as far as I saw last time, the parking for Bivak II is quite far aside. Only there at the junction Za Cmirom, if I'm not mistaken?

Well it's clear where the catch is. Solely and exclusively in money. Both officials in the article admit it quite shamelessly. Especially this is good...that now when the road is asphalted, the municipality gets ownership and skins the hikers. They really have no shame at all

Trobec, sadly this applies practically to all "protected" nature. First an ordinance is adopted to protect a certain area, then an educational/walking path is arranged and promotion starts, when visitors start coming, support infrastructure is also arranged, in the end due to some kind of "overburdening" access is limited and expensive parking fees and entrance fees are introduced. Often then the paths and infrastructure that don't bring profit stop being maintained, especially freely accessible walking paths. And we know who pockets the money in the end.

On 7.4 I wrote in this thread that they're quietly preparing us for the road being only for the chosen ones.. well now the outlines of the access regime are showing. Jezersko, Valvazor and Završnica valley, Vrata, Krma are also being prepared.. Vršič, Pokljuka. Barriers are growing like mushrooms after rain so even Drago or grega from the shore won't be able to find them all They all have one thing in common.. € As much as I smell, they haven't said the last word on Pokljuka either.. In short.. last one turn off the light. They've turned the mountains into a park for tourists. Let the responsible ones f*** Amen

Judging by the comments, someone else on this forum has "woken up". But I'd add something: I think it's not just about money, but also about control. Whoever can connect the things happening especially since 2020 onwards, many things can be clear to them why it's like this and in which direction it will go if we support it. So maybe it's best to think whether we will support (in this or that way) these stupidities or not. As for myself, I already know the answer

Well... I don't know if various municipal officials are capable of "global" thinking, they don't even need hints and directions from various "uncles" to awaken that quite primitive feeling in them - endless greed.
Of course I agree that surveillance is enormously increasing at every step. And the saddest thing is that many people go into this completely voluntarily... Well, maybe that's why it's easier for the municipal officials to charge absurd parking fees. Once the back is bent...

Personally I have nothing against paying parking fee if the price is within normal limits. But I'm against paying parking fee if it says (and in most cases it does), that parking is at own risk.

The purpose could also be to go to other starting points too, some paths are overgrowing because they are visited too little. Some paths are too crowded, consequences will be permanent so they will need to be restored. Who will do it, since there are no young path markers. When I see that paths are maintained mostly by 50+ year olds or those aged 60+. Now above Trento there under Zjabci, only 1 car and higher up also only 1. Also B station Kanin and a bit higher only 2 cars....but you pay at B station as much as you want. In Vrata valley now asphalt, your car doesn't get dusty and stays clean, otherwise it won't work without a barrier and accepting only a certain number of cars into the valley.

Locals usually support such decisions, they don't care - if you've lived 40 years in Mojstrana, you've long ago walked all the nearby paths that would interest you.
