Ful is a beautiful toll booth lady. One of the prettier ones. Next year in autumn they could make an online competition which village or municipality has the prettiest one, the lucky winner (female or male) can then, as a prize, in the valley where the winning toll booth lady stands, drive all year "in and out in and out in and out in and out . . . . . " For free, of course velik nasmeh

Otherwise one less valley, when folk will study where not to turn mežikanje Nothing bad, I think there are enough other beautiful valleys. For the north face of Triglav though, I think it's no big deal to get there

The problem isn't the toll booth lady, not only in Vrata, but elsewhere too. It's simply impossible with public transport to arrive in Vrata early in the morning and start the tour at 4am. Škrlatica, Razor and Triglav, for example, July and August, summer heat and afternoon storms. Similar elsewhere. Starting at 6am is conditionally acceptable, depending on the tour, depending where, also out of the valley at least in summer the last bus should leave at 22h, if not then at least 21h. And of course all public transport that goes past the toll booth further into the valley should be electric, God forbid petrol, even less diesel. If we're doing nature, animals, flowers and more . . .

Actually the whole situation around parking, access with public transport, overnight stays and everything related to hiking in general is adapting to someone else and not to us, classic hikers who are at the starting point already at four in the morning and so on. Everything is becoming boutique and tailored more and more to the foreign guest who will sleep long, after breakfast in the hotel take some short excursion and leave a substantial amount of money in the place in a short time while staying there. The whole system adapts to such a guest while I have the feeling that we others are more and more pushed to the sidetrack. Maybe I'm wrong. Time will tell.

@DVas, exactly, purely everything is just about capitalism and how to collect more money.
Also sleeping in huts. PZS brags so much about the electronic reservation system which is, mildly put, catastrophic. Nice weekend coming up and local guest - mountaineer who's been going to the mountains all his life, would go sleep in the mountains... but gets back smooth "f*** off, we're already fully booked a month in advance with foreigners".

In the valley only some wind turbines are missing, about 200m high, with 30x30 bases, like they plan on the Pohorje ridge, then the picture will be complete.
I looked the other day from the ridge at Plocken Pass, which is spoiled by a “beautiful wind turbine”. Looks like these toll booths will be the least concern for our nature protectors and mountaineers in the future.

They should add barbed wire too, I haven't been there since 92 anyway and obviously won't go anymorezavijanje z očmi Elsewhere they are more willing to accept everyone who comes.

And how about the barrier - with the passability of the road to Kot valley? (clearing wood after windthrow)

As it seems, you still can't or shouldn't go to Kot zavijanje z očmi

The road to Kot is normally drivable, only the sign is still there.
That's up to the individual whether they follow the sign or not.

Maybe someone knows a link from TNP with list of permitted parking lots in Vrata valley (besides Peričnik, Črlovec and at the end, of course). Saw it somewhere once, but can't find it anymore...zmeden

Thanks!

In TNP it's simple as beans: if no "P" sign or paid parking, you basically risk a fine.

Parking is allowed there. Or on one of those two rovts there (Poldov/Turkov) there is a sign, on the other there isn't.
