Yesterday the peak was treated to a very massive "pilgrimage" of hikers to its top and probably burst at the seams... When returning around 11am from it, I said good day, hi, hello and more at least 300 times without exaggeration...

We too yesterday after a few years back to Slemenova Spica… On the ascent until just below the summit there was no living soul anywhere to greet with good day, hello..., on the descent we greeted three who were only starting up in the afternoon… We made a beautiful solitary loop trail… Oh, I forgot one detail. Of course we didn't go the "pilgrim" way from Vršič, but from Planica towards Tamar, then up through Grlo and down past Črnih vod…

Slemenova Spica is an easily accessible viewpoint from Vršič, which at this time offers wonderful autumn colors and contrasts. There were really a lot of people but it's nice to see families with playful children running on the grass and enjoying. There wasn't much shouting or it got lost. If that bothered someone, they could approach from Mala Pišnica or from Tamar....
Slemenova Spica is of course paradise also for those who go to the mountains maybe only once or twice a year and that's right.

Gave in to mass euphoria about visiting Slemenova Špica....and didn't regret it.
Up through Grlo, descent past Črne Vode, met no one...priceless.
