Today to Slemenova špica from Tamar through Grlo (same descent). Snow started at cca 1500 m, then more and more. Snow cca 30 cm, in places knee-deep. Also: traffic prohibited on road to Tamar, and the road is like a ditch, even Lada Nivas and tractor drivers have trouble there.

We two were also there today on Slemenova špica. We went to check if sheep are still there. And they are, probably hungry, as food is under snow. Janez.novak, glad we met below the summit and chatted a bit. Hope to meet again. Take care!

Wow, really nice pictures Hello, I have a question Is the path from Vršič to Slemenova Špica very demanding from the perspective of a recently twisted ankle, which is otherwise in good condition? So, from the pictures it doesn't seem very demanding or steep to me. Is there a lot of that kind of rolling stones? I would go slowly, I have stamina, I just know I have to protect the ankle. The other thing is, do you think the weather tomorrow or on Wednesday will be fine for the mentioned trip? Vršič, Slemenova Špica and a bit around there. If it's cloudy, is there still any view? We always go to the mountains when the weather is very perfect, now I have a strong desire to go, but I don't know if it's worth driving 500 km or more altogether just to be surrounded by fog. Where do you look at the weather forecast? Arso doesn't seem the best to me. Thanks 1000x.

The road to Vršič might be more of a problem. From Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm complete closure from Kr. Gora direction. Otherwise the path to Sleme itself is not demanding.

Aha, well we wouldn't come from Kranjska Gora anyway, thanks for the warning though. But I think due to the weather we'll stay somewhere closer to home.

Maybe someone knows if the path to Slemenova špica is dry, i.e. without snow?

Hello! Over the weekend we'd visit Slemenova Špica and I'm curious about the road to Vršič. Is it passable over Saturday and Sunday? And if anyone was there these days maybe how are the larches, are the needles still on, or already fallen? Thanks and nice mountaineering greeting to all
