Today from Vršič to Slemenova Špica. Road passable, quite a lot of cars at Vršič. Path to Slemenova Špica well trodden. Quite a few hikers. Crampons stayed in the backpack.

Up to Koča pri gozdu no problem (just from there), so I'm sure you can go over Vršič without issue too.

The road is clear to Slemenovo, you can do it without crampons because of this squeaky snow, was up there today...

I'm also interested in the route from Tamar; the description on this page says the road to Tamar valley is closed, which adds 1h to the route. Is this current? Thaaaanks!

Yes, road prohibited for cars beyond Planica.
To the hut in Tamar ca. 45 min walk.
