Two weeks ago they broke through up from Trenta, from Kranjska Gora it's been normally drivable longer. No snow on the road yesterday even for a trace, so just grab the wheel and to the mountains nasmeh

Slemenova Špica yesterday.. I got only to Vratc, not even tracked there. Snow very hard, frozen. Lower path to Slemenova Špica is untouched white, without snowshoes impossible. Up under walls only one footstep track. Too much blowing and stinging to go on. But I was on Sovna Glava and Vršič top. Winter reigns there too. nasmeh

Today we were early. To the Vratca pass we walked in the dark. The path to here is dry. From the pass onwards to Sleme, the marked path is almost fully under snow, also with some icy sections requiring quite a bit of caution. From Sleme to the top there is almost no snow anymore.
On the top we waited for the sunrise, during which a lonely cloud annoyed us in an otherwise clear morning, persistently covering the rising sun, so we did not get to see those most beautiful color shades.
Back to Vršič we returned via the snow-covered and well-trodden track under the ridges of Mojstrovke and Šitna Glava, where the snow was already softened by six in the morning. We met no one, even our car was alone at the pass.

To Slemenova špica today, mainly to check the ascent to Hanzovo. Still quite some snow. I spotted some nearby, but no one went up. Nice weather with wonderful views. So that it wouldn't be too short altogether, I also climbed Prednje Robičje. The drive back to Ljubljana a catastrophe, holidays, dug up, traffic lights, queues....... no escape.

Prednje Robičje, Slemenova Špica - on the first summer day... The trail to P. Robičje was wet and slippery at the start, higher in the rocks it's fine. Nice views along the ridge and from the summit. Still lots of snow under the Mojstrovka walls. I had small crampons and they were really handy. Returned via the lower path, no snow. Roses are blooming and snow in the hollows for last winter joys, snowballing. nasmeh

Slemenova Špica has lots of visitors. nasmeh

Hi, interested if there's still any snow on the path from Tamar past Črne Vode? Planning to go next week with kids.

@pajk Last Wednesday from the path to Ponce I saw quite a bit of snow (attaching pic), but from memory that snow isn't a big obstacle...

Also yesterday there was still some snow in that gully below, just need to be careful nasmeh

In the last 10 days I went twice from Planica to Slemenova Špica, both times up through the gully and down past Črne Vode. Still snow at the bottom of the path from Slemenova Špica towards the hut in Tamar (same amount between my first and last trip - doesn't melt fast), but it's on a relatively flat section right at the base, so can cross it carefully and slowly without fear - with poles and firm steps in good boots no problem.

We went as a family to the summit.

It's nice up there, from Kotova špica to Visoka Ponca

Mala and Velika Martuljška Ponca and Škrlatica

Initially planned Hanz's path to Mala Mojstrovka. But seeing the slowly moving columns towards Hanza, I chose Slemenova Špica instead, and on return also Prednje Robičje. The decision was more than good.
Larches slowly turning golden, plenty of time, so enjoying sun and beautiful views of surrounding peaks.
Path to Slemenova Špica without issues, to Prednje Robičje quite overgrown and steep. In wet weather probably quite slippery. Summit offers nice views.
