Hello,
tomorrow with a colleague we are heading to Smrekovec and from there along the ridge to Komen. Does anyone know if the road to Dom na Smrekovcu is drivable?

The path for crossing Smrekovec we started in the middle of the night at Križan, then several km along the road. The night was clear, not too cold. At the junction we take some necessary things and continue along the track towards Staknetov vrh. On the way we meet hiker Zvonet who is going in the opposite direction; if time allowed we would chat all night. We exchange greetings and wishes and say goodbye. Our path goes to the hut on Smrekovec; here we take off our backpacks and head over Smrekovec. On Planina Javorje the night gives way to day. Suddenly new energy appears in me too, so we quickly reach Loka. The warden is probably sleeping, we conclude from the car in front of the hut. On the way over Smrekovec some fallen trees hinder walking; abundant rains are also noticeable. Lp.

Golte-Smrekovec-Komen and back to Brložnik.
On Golte I caught the sunrise over foggy valleys.
From Golte downhill it was possible to descend on skis. Snow was mostly barely enough - about 15 cm. From Smrekovec to Komna it's windblown in places as expected, definitely too little snow for a nice ski tour.
Smoke curled from the hut chimney, so I assume the hut was open.

Golte-Smrekovec-Golte
A few cm of new fresh snow nicely whitened Golte. In the morning I first made my ski track to Isteje. Descent to Kal short but really pleasant as there was enough snow. I continued to Smrekovec. Skiing from Smrekovec meadow was almost idyllic, new dry snow whitened the meadow and erased old tracks. It was so nice that I went to the top of Smrekovec again and repeated the ski. The second time the snow was already more mushy.

Bbrina, nice wandering you did and nice pics caught in lens.. I myself have chosen this variant many times and never been disappointed. Found you signed in my "bivouac". See this time too you didn't pass by. Hope you tasted something, as offer growing. Maybe meet up there sometime.

Yes, really, depends on conditions. I needed exactly 1.30 hours yesterday, because it was nice to ski from Istje to saddle Kal.
