Congratulations from my side too. Hope I go next year in your footsteps. Think this September is really ideal for mountains.

Congratulations Bina, if you shed a tear, then it really touched you and embraced that incredibly beautiful beauty, peace and energy you felt up there, I shed it every time I think of it, that's the happy tear only mountains give, keep it up

Bravo, super Bina . Yeah, once you step up there to the top, you feel real joy, happiness, delight that you can experience only up there somewhere. I've already been to Triglav a few times, but it always completely mesmerizes me . I'd go again in autumn, this one already, which is so wonderful .

After yesterday's rambling in Dunja valley I'm going today on a somewhat easier tour. Briefly nothing new on Triglav, one could say. First time up this week . In the morning it was blowing quite strongly and cold at Luknja. Two ahead of me, but I quickly overtake them. Views excellent, otherwise in the morning all of Slovenia under misty cover. At the top I meet a colleague with whom we sit a bit and chat, no crowds. Then we descend to Kredarica (meet some acquaintances, Milan, Rado, Vido), short chat with warden Dušan, and two girls from nearby Planika came for neighborly visit. Then with colleague we head across Triglav glacier (notice it's slightly increasing again, which is good news), then across ledge to Primorska side and down old Kugy valley to Zadnjica. The word beautiful is too little, it was gorgeous .

sabina1967, if I understand correctly, the hut is open these days due to renovation . And maybe someone knows until when? I'm planning to go to Triglav on Monday . And one option is to sleep at Kredarica, the other at Planika. If possible of course. Then maybe via Kopica, Tičarica or Zeljarica down to Štapce in Bohinj . We don't have anything precisely planned with pelikan though except as few crampons as possible. Now I wrote roughly, more probably tomorrow. Thanks for any reply and info. Katy

Finally I decided to climb to the summit also via Plemenice. The path is very picturesque and in views certainly surpasses all routes of southern approaches. It's a bit longer, but worth it, as climbing Plemenice and further up across the škrbina is a nice experience and not too demanding. The view of Sfinga didn't leave me indifferent either, on whose pillar we stepped and of course views towards big neighbors, Jalovec, Mangart, Kanin,... Yesterday the view reached all the way to the sea. Otherwise lots of people on the path for end of September. Many foreigners too. Their gear very varied. From fully equipped to one Czech in sneakers, without backpack, water,.. It bothered me also groups sitting under walls above which the path goes and stones roll down. Especially on Tominšek in the afternoon several groups were ascending, who rested at very unsuitable places. They reacted very differently to warnings, but we've discussed that many times. It was really nice and in pleasant company.

There really was a crowd yesterday on this path, but I was glad when we branched off to Bovški Gamsovec route. I'm curious if anyone even knows why this path is called that. We from the neighboring peak saw the thing well, which the path is named after.

Such a day as today needed to be used for a hike to some hill, hard to decide where to go from 11.00 on, while driving on highway I study where, but said since Triglav is so nicely visible I'll go up by my will power and bold fast movement, had headlamp and extra clothes if darkness catches me. From Krma to Triglav top I needed 2:50 hours , on top with such nice weather walked around admiring our beautiful mountains can't live without them, could see very far to the sea, back descent to Kredarica take pics and rush to Krma, whole tour less than 6 hours with stops. It was gorgeous, on top only 7-8 people calm real mountaineers, back often alone in such beautiful nature without shouts and people. SUPER it was.

Jprim, I admit I didn't know where this path name comes from. Your nice clear photo offers a clear answer.

Well we also stretched the legs on Saturday and climbed to our Daddy. Saturday to Planika. Then Sunday Planika - Triglav - descent via climber's to Kredarica from there via scree back to Planika then off to valley - Rudno polje. Sin to spend these days between four walls.
