Yesterday a German got to Kredarica alone over Prag, car left at Peričnik. Obviously possible, but what the "path" condition is I wouldn't know.. rolling eyes

Hello!
No publicly organized hikes to Triglav in winter. Only self-organized!
LP and good luck in the mountains!

On Saturday around 11 o'clock, our group of seven members, consisting of Gorenjci and Styrians, sets off from Krma towards Kredarica. Already during the drive to Krma, it was clear that the mountains are closer to the Gorenjci and that they handle driving on the icy bob track leading to Krma better than us Styrians, as I can barely keep up with the mountain guide driving in front of me. I had the feeling that I would be wiped off the road any moment. The conditions for walking were excellent, the trail packed, snow creaking under the boots. At the shepherds', we take a short break, have a little snack and continue towards Kredarica. We meet quite a few hikers returning disappointed to the valley. Luck wasn't on their side. The ascent to Triglav was apparently almost impossible due to the too strong gusts of wind.
Maybe we'll have more luck on Sunday, we tell ourselves and continue the path. Below the calvary, we put on crampons and cheerfully continue towards our goal. On Kredarica, it was blowing a bit, but not too much. The wind had already calmed down considerably. After about an hour, two more join us who started later. The weather forecasters predict quite favorable conditions for the ascent to Triglav on Sunday. After refueling, we head to the unheated room, wrap ourselves in blankets, of which there were quite a few, as the cold was pressing hard and the wind was howling well through the night.
In the morning, we gear up and at -16 head towards the top of Triglav. At the entry, it was blowing a little, then to the top of Mali Triglav almost nothing, along the ridge the conditions changed a bit, but the wind gusts weren't too bad. Overall, the conditions for the ascent itself were almost ideal given the winter conditions, crampons gripped excellently, avalanche danger negligible, views excellent and unforgettable in the beautiful, sunny and cold weather. After a short stop, we cheerfully head back to the valley. Behind us are two wonderful days, especially for some of us in the group who experienced our first winter ascent to Triglav, thanks to the four guides from the group who safely enabled us this experience.
Now let someone say that Styrians and Gorenjci don't go together.
Best regards to everyone and thanks to the guides for the unforgettable experience.

Keko I checked the conditions today. Temperature around -10, wind from Kredarica so strong that it would carry away even my ice axe from my hand if not tied.

Oh, nicely described tour, I agree with everything, because it really was like that. But I can't omit that the atmosphere in the hut was the right one, we were grateful for the fire in the stove, for the hot meal, at night you could hear only the gusts of wind. And safe journey to all and return safely to your homes. mežikanje

@Keko: wonderful pics...but I see that Triglav also lacks snow like all other peaks here in SLO....this year there's really just a sample...hope it throws some more otherwise in summer if no rain even rivers will dry mrk pogled ....now I also fancy Triglav a bit

Regards to all mežikanje

enit, I really get it that you're outraged at the guy who jumped from Kredarica with a paraglider?

If yes, then I have just one comment...

You can't be serious.

enit, all alpine countries encourage such sports and tourism, doesn't disturb animals nor pollute, don't know what's wrong here. maybe bothers you cuz you're an ass and envious...
