Almost all more or less already posted under topic titled: SILVESTROVANJE NA KREDARICA (Triglav), since weather stable for a long time, few cm snow blown away by wind and piled somewhere, basically nothing changed. Sometimes good to check forum before new topic. Would add what pointed out by Friends of Triglav. For some Krma and Triglav visitors self-evident road plowed, parking arranged, maybe expect heated garage. Not quite. Nor park on private yards as some think. To avoid that, they try to clear road, but not always possible. Plowed as much as possible, parking spots as available. Not free, someone pays. Friends of Triglav thank unknown benefactor who during NYE among 60-70 Kredarica visitors only bright exception contributed whole 5€ for plowing heartily. If more such benefactors, more parking, road further plowed. Weather guys at Kredarica know where to give euro.

Best thanks, Triglavski! Opened new topic because NYE already past, assumed no more interest for topic under that title - sorry - otherwise follow forum regularly. Lp strelec

Path to Kredarica well trodden and easy. Very demanding path starts with ascent to Mali Triglav. Difficulty doesn't ease until start of ridge to Veliki Triglav. Path after M.Triglav locally very exposed, advise against for people with vertigo. Locally icy-hard snow-rock steps. Path to Triglav demanding, descent very demanding. Steep and exposed - narrow ridges.

Where did you start, Krma? More plowed in the valley? Lp A

Started from Krma. As Edo wrote, plowed approx 2 km from Radovna towards Krma valley. Approx one hour walk to Kovinarski hut. Plowed part narrow, need to start early for free parking spot.
Nice hiking greeting.

Hello all mountaineers! On Saturday and Sunday a real mountain fairy tale on Triglav. Tiring, but unique and unrepeatable!

Nice, but I have a question: where did you self-belay?

I also feel that it's still winter.

Triglavsekmu: I approached Triglav solo without additional protection. Used only ice axe and crampons and of course knowledge and experience Places where you could self-belay with via ferrata kit are few. Only at some places via ferrata kit use possible.

Tomorrow going to Kredarica. Does via ferrata kit come in handy for summit (currently of course)? Thanks for answers. Best. Franci

fpetel1: no way, because on most exposed part to M.Triglav no place to self-belay - (that's why triglavski asked strelec where they self-belayed) ..if you take rope (team)!? ; by feel then.. Enjoy!!!

Duplo, thanks for the answer! I hope the weather will be favorable to us I asked because of the 2nd pic from Juret, where the cable and pitons are visible (lower part of the path to Mali Triglav, if I remember correctly from the summer) May fortune accompany you in the mountains!

...yeah cables more or less out, pitons too - towards M.Triglav first traverse "cabled", ridge and overall "highway" ..only as I already said. Most exposed nothing - unsure better rope up... BTW if you remember ask Radota (weather guy) if someone maybe by mistake or something took thermos. black - Lifeventure 1l. When I was on summit slippers Fly flot for after bivouacs and that thermos gone...Yeah mountain coffee thieves joined by magpies too... Nice safe weekend all

To all those who are bothered by our self-belay kits let me tell you, from the hut you can't see if you need them or not, but they can come in handy at some places, especially when meeting others, if not for anything else then for safe rest

We didn't mean anything bad with the questions. Given the huge snow when everything is under snow, in mountains in winter you belay with double rope. Still safety first, and if there's another option, why not. Congratulations and best regards!
