merkur thanks for patience, last question, is there any variant to get from Kredarica to Prehodavci, from there I would then descend to Zadnjica...

@užitkar: To Dolič you know already. From there to Prehodavci easiest over Hribarice (2.5 hours), somewhat harder and longer over Kanjavec and third very demanding over Kanjavčev police (2.5 hours).

@užitkar: from Kredarica to Zadnjica I went last month, from Dolič over Kanjavec, it's quite a long tour, especially if the sun bakes all day nasmeh

big thanks for the answers, decision has fallen:
tomorrow early from Zadnjica over Plemenice to Triglav summit, and sleep at Kredarica. On Saturday morning depending on mood either over Kugijev police or past Planika back to Dolič and to valley...
hope the weather will hold.

Yesterday we hiked a loop. Vrata, Luknja, over Plamenice to Triglav. We returned over Mali Triglav, Kredarica, Prag and back to the parked car. Mists made sure it wasn't too hot on the path. Regards.

Yesterday I did the ascent to Triglav from Krma valley to Planika hut and over Škrbina to the summit. Weather was quite okay, misty and cold but on top we got some sun and no wind. No views though. Descent over the ridge to Planika and down to the start. Since I love going to hills-mountains I celebrated my round anniversary with this hike. It was greatnasmeh

Hi!

This Saturday and Sunday I'm going to Triglav for the first time with two more colleagues (we're around 40 years old). We'll start at the source of Savica, over Komarča and the seven lakes somehow. The path should take about 8 hours. Now I ask you to help me where we should sleep, if accommodation needs to be booked in advance and which way we should return to make some kind of loop. Over Prehodavci probably not? I would go (I've already conquered some peaks over 2000m and know roughly what might await me) but I don't know about the other two how brave they are, they say they are. So please for your opinions and thank you for the answers.

Nice regards, Vladika!

If you've chosen this path, there'll be quite some knee biting right at the start. But. I suggest sleeping in the hut at Triglav Lakes, or if there's still enough strength, in the Zasavska hut at Prehodavci. Definitely suggest booking in advance, paths around daddy are very crowded, especially weekends. Next day then over Hribarice, then variant from the Dolič hut direct to Triglav summit (more demanding) or past Dolič to Planika and from there to summit (easiest approach, but don't mistake, it's not easy). Then from summit you can go to Kredarica, from there to Vodnikovo polje at Veliko polje and from there over Uskovnica or planina Voje to Bohinj. But warning, second day is quite a walk this way. I did the path in reverse 3 years ago: Pokljuka, Vodnikov dom, Kredarica, summit, Planika, past Dolič to Prehodavci and slept there. Second day then Seven Lakes, Komna and descent to Savica. But need to organize transport.... Good luck

If my variant helps you,
1. day - over Komarča, along Triglav Lakes valley, over Hribarice to Dolič and sleep there,
2. day - morning ascent to Triglav, return to Dolič and towards Vodnikov dom, sleep,
3. day - return to start (Slap Savica) over the pastures.
But that's three days, and sleep really needs reserving, or maybe find something free by chance, well we didn't reserve last weekend either but got it anyway, in Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih, but of course on shared beds, but hut occupancy depends entirely on proximity to Triglav ascent, those are Planika, Kredarica and Dolič huts,...
and nice weather probably also a wish, we also hope for it somewhere in these parts - well, not to Triglav, been there 2x last month, think that's enough for this year.
LP!

All huts near Triglav are packed full for the weekend and no longer accepting reservationseekmrk pogled. The only option is to decide for ascent to our Daddy once mid-week. For all others to know, all huts until mid-September are already booked on weekends. These are today's fresh information....which quite surprised me too and led to totally changing my plan for this weekendmrk pogledeek. But I believe it will still be very nicenasmehnasmeh.

Tent with you and hide behind bushes to sleep, though TNP says no tent pitching, just don't tell anyone, but some are funny, pitch tent just a few meters from marked path, why not behind some bush, larch or rock....or just sleeping bag under larch. You'll have peace, sleep well, maybe a chamois greets you a few meters away in the morning, so many times I hear how wild in huts, can't sleep...

I usually bivouac without tent (only in summer). Just sleeping bag and thermo mat underneath. Find windless spot and that's it. Very early morning get up and chase sunrises. jezik

Animals yes there are. Especially below Bovec at Gamsovec various ibex and chamois walked around me all night. velik nasmeh
