To Triglav?

Yesterday it took me up there too. The path to Luknja is newly nicely arranged. Lots of visits to Očak, every other was a foreigner, especially many I met on the return via Prag. Forecasters spot on. At half past two first shower, but by then I was already on the way to Mojstrana...
From the Bohinj end mists were already rising before ten1

5Xum, I think you'll have more luck from Friday to Saturdaynasmeh. Well, it's like my colleague called from the path to Komna up again (to Stanič hut) from pure whim and they said maybe something still availableeekcool. So we were pretty angry. But we soon forgot about it, as the weekend on Komna was wonderful. And unforgettablenasmehnasmeh.

@LidijaJesih it seems I didn't explain precisely enough what I had in mind. I'd go along the marked hiking trail; the one from Vrata. My guidebook is quite old (Mihelič - Northern Approaches) and it didn't yet have a description of the marked hiking trail over Sfinga. So now I'm in doubt whether they've marked the path by now - so that poor me doesn't get lost on it - or if I missed something on the forum.

On Sunday 5.8 we set off on a circular tour from Črna Prst to Triglav. We started the tour from Bohinjska Bistrica to Črna Prst. Continued along the ridge of the Lower Bohinj Mountains, over Rodica to Vogel and then to Planina Razor, where we also slept. The next day we went over Škrbina towards Komna and then towards Triglav Lakes, where we slept in the hut. On the third day we walked through the Valley of Triglav Lakes to the hut at Prehodavci, then over Hribarice towards Dolič (friend also went to Kanjavec). From Dolič to Planika, where we slept. Next morning ascent to Triglav, descent back to Planika, further to Vodnik hut and to Planina Konjščica. From the pasture descent to Uskovnica and back to Bohinj.

Just kidding, we understood I think...nasmeh Anyway, in my opinion Plemenice, and there was also a description of the unmarked path from Zadnjica, the so-called Kugy path. No crowds there for sure.

On Saturday from Krma to Kredarica, after a break at the hut on Kredarica descent to Stanič hut (the hut is named after the priest Valentin Stanič, from Bodrež near Kanal, who climbed our father in 1808 and first measured its height,) over Rž, from there a short walk to Visoka Vrbanova špica (views in all directions phenomenalnasmehvelik nasmehnasmeh) and back to the hut.
Yesterday morning at sunrise nasmehjezik from Stanič hut we climbed back to the hut on Kredarica, further to Triglav, descended to Planika and returned to Krma.
Nice, scenic, varied, circular tour.
Weather served us well, in the afternoon during descent below Planika it got a bit foggy, but already at Prgarca nice again to Krma.

I made it!nasmeh

Since I was asking before what and how, I'll describe how my first ascent to Triglav went, maybe it'll help someone.

1.DAY
Start from home (Gornja Radgona) at 03:30. Savica Waterfall starting point at 06:30. Viewing the source of Savica. At 07:30 towards Komna hut. At 10:00 towards Triglav Lakes hut. At 12:30 over Prehodavci to Zasavska hut. At 16:00 over Hribarice to Tržaška hut at Dolič, where we arrived with my friend at 18:00. Luckily we got accommodation because some cancelled.

2.DAY
At 06:15 ascent to Triglav from Dolič. At 08:30 TRIGLAV conquered. At 09:00 descent towards Planika hut. At 11:00 descent towards Vodnik hut. At 12:30 towards Rudno polje and at 15:00 Rudno polje.

DESCRIPTION:

The times I gave are my times, because we walked quite moderately with my buddy and stopped at every hut for a few minutes as well as on the way. The path to Komna is quite strenuous but I knew it from before. The path to the hut went without any incidents, up and down a bit. Prehodavci dragged on, I admit. We didn't need to stop at Zasavska hut and could have gone directly over Hribarice (1 hour less). The path over Hribarice is quite strenuous, fatigue was starting to show a bit. Down from Hribarice over scree wasn't easy either. At Dolič everything is top-notch for me from staff to accommodation.
Start of ascent second day still manageable (first hour of ascent), but when you reach the Triglav wall (second hour of ascent) and start climbing on pegs and cables it's quite tough but the conquered summit outweighs it all. Descent to Planika in my opinion easier, but true you meet others going up from other routes. From Planika to Vodnik hut without problems, same to Rudno polje. In short, very nice tour, but also tough for two days.
If by chance Mr. Damjan from Celje reads this, who joined us for part of the way (from Zasavska hut to Dolič) and explained quite a few things to us, thanks for everything. Great luck that the first car stopped for us at Rudno polje, a friendly gentleman from Novo mesto and took us to the starting point as he was heading to Bohinj.
Hope I'm not too long, that I helped someone and see you again in the mountains. Good luck.

Vladika

is it recommended to have a self-belay kit on the path from Kredarica to Triglav, or can you go without it?

Very relative question. If you feel a self-belay kit is needed, take it along. Many people go up both with it and without it.

Exactly right Močerad, all questions regarding self-belaying are relative, depending on several factors...

I'll be a bit less nanny: you can go without. Mostly just pegs anyway, cables only up on the ridge, where it's just a walk. Now lynch me mežikanje
