Yes, the true mountaineers, those who alone enjoy the mountains, unfortunately many things bother them.
For example too fast and too slow and mountain bikers and paragliders and alpinists and ski tourers etc. They are simply bothered by all who stand out from the average and their standards. I agree that if around Triglav there were no huts the speedster would be lonely more often.

Today I was up there, went via Prag. Started at 6:20, to Kredarica took 3h 20min, wasn't rushing much. To Triglav summit and back another 1h 30min, because it was reeeally slow. Can't imagine weekends. Down to Kredarica 1h, to valley 3h 10min. Morning to Kredarica divine, perfect temp, little breeze. First Triglav and back down torture to go nuts. Triglav top no breeze, crystal clear, same all way down. Scorched like mad. Kredarica 18 degrees, plus strong sun, we know how Anyway all super, except Triglav crowds and unbearable heat

Urbanck's post doesn't seem objectionable at all to me either. Unlike some others, he didn't forbid anyone from visiting the mountains, nor did he insult anyone (also unlike some others, right?). Fact is, the bunch of huts around Triglav caused the mass visitation at this time. And based on evening behavior in those huts, some we can hardly call mountaineers...

It's not Urbanck's time and speed that bothers, but he also insulted all those who can't afford that pace for whatever reason. Everyone capable of reaching Triglav deserves respect, right?
We older ones go to mountains too, happy to get up there even if slower.

I took 4:15 from Staničeva to Aljaž downhill. So now you're wondering how I could be so slow.

It hasn't even been a week and I already set off again to our little sheep, but this time in very special company, as I took my better half up for the first time. I was a bit worried if she'd make it to the top, but I tell you, the fear was unnecessary,.. I can only take my hat off to her.We went from Pokljuka to Dom Planika and then via Mali Triglav to the top,… at the top the baptism followed of course, and then the joy that lasted and lasted,… that moment will remain in her best memory. Now she has become a real Slovene.The descent followed the same path, just before Dom Planika we got caught in a shower, but it wasn't bad. Then slowly to the valley and the next day relaxation at Lake Bohinj. In the end, the so-called "mini" vacation couldn't have gone better.Good luck everyone
