Hi!I have to admit that the ascent from Kredarica to Triglav was a bit more demanding than expected. The ascent via Tominškova is easy (and I have some altitude issues), while the ascent from Kredarica due to worn rocks is quite dangerous for me (slipped once even). So careful on the rocks.

Nice Podrav I'm curious how long the path in km Pokljuka-Triglav? And also for other accesses. Times are always given, but not distances.

well almost all paths to triglav you can comfortably hike in one day...from pokljuka you gotta walk much faster yeah...but not everywhere cuz quite steep slopes and quite narrow path, so you can't go too crazy...

Thanks for info. I've already hiked the other paths, I was interested in the difference in km, because time-wise they are approx. equal. L.P.

Hope your soles didn't burn in between from that mileage and that you had chance to see something on the path.

LG, who the hell cares about altitudes and kilometers and pace... report on the conditions on the route, not your lazing-self-praise.

haha, what do you think they will be like, this is a trail hundreds of people walk every day and it has to be always in perfect order. Maybe the trail over Komarča is really worse, because 3 years ago until today no one maintained it, and it seems to me some logs have rolled down , leaves on the path and scree, so only via Komarča is a problem, under Triglav there was a bit of snow which doesn't hinder ascent, on the contrary it scares some a bit.

Komarča was nicely maintained in the past, logs were secured everywhere, everything held. True though, that due to frequency hikers wear it out quite a bit in one summer season, so it should be renovated annually and not left to final ruin indefinitely.

We also took about the same time as LG for the ascent to Očak, true we were 24 and did it over two days. Just as ordered, couldn't choose better for the traditional, this year already 5th group ascent. Not too hot, clear sky, views to the sea and to the Channel (well, almost). We baptized five at the top, but the most valuable are the memories of all experienced. No better team building. On the way I was thinking how in the mountains in a group help becomes natural even among people who barely or hardly know each other. Nothing is only mine or only yours, everyone wants to get home safe, share something among us and watch out for each other. Just why can't it be at least a bit similar down there in the smog. Anyway, we had a great time, up via Tominšek's and sleep at Kredarica (not even noisy), next morning to Očak for views and soul food. Then descent to Planika, and via Kurica to Krma. Snow melted, so no more except in the deepest shade. I'll also remember the Spaniard with our hiker, who from the top to Planika chattered behind me, sang and repeated Slovenian words, bowed to the beauty of our mountains and admired our Slovenia, our courage at independence and our friendliness. Hm, obviously you have to come from elsewhere to see that?
