These days it's really worth taking advantage of for visiting mountains...

As for the flag on Aljaž Tower there is really no need for it to flap up there in the wind, also the tower is not meant for that, nor for sticking stickers on it, writing, scratching or even climbing on it, so it will be just right to hang the flag there say on a holiday when general display of the state flag is allowed, on other days the summit without it will still be the summit. As for conditions, God help those who can't figure out the conditions from the description. The east and west sides of Triglav aren't so far apart that conditions would be significantly different. And a little inventiveness doesn't hurt, like calling the weatherman at Kredarica and you get all info first hand. Once again, the web is the last thing that should help someone when heading to the mountains, especially in winter.

Since you're already kinda ranting I'll add a bit myself

You just console yourself with the flag if you want. Anyway they replace it every few years. The trough stays the same only s..... change.

Today I was only heading for coffee to the forecasters at Kredarica, but the conditions pulled me further. To Kredarica there's little snow and apart from good boots no winter gear is needed. From Kredarica to the top super winter conditions with hard snow so crampons grip well. More care needed on the sunny side as snow softens during the day. From Kredarica no one on summit for a while and nice feeling arriving at top through innocent white. Back at Kredarica waited for forecasters shift change, bit of chat with new team and return to harsh reality.
Now despite some water on road can reach Krma (to end of pasture) also from Mojstrana.
Worth using good conditions and forecast nice weather next days.

I'm more active on the ski touring side of TK Gora. True though that mountains are prettiest in winter, especially with skis when you can choose your own routes.
