Hi Stefano!
On the website listing all mountain huts in Slovenia ( http://www.pzs.si/koce.php ), it says Tržaška koča na Doliču is still closed.
Best to call the warden Milena or Planinsko društvo Gorje which manages the hut. There you'll get the most accurate info.
Best regards and safe steps.nasmeh

redbull, which route did you take?

from Krma, if you go from Vrata e.g. over the threshold then you still have some frozen snow

We went nicely from Trieste to Trento after midnight and overnight went to Dolič, then to the top. We arrived at Dolič, Jast and my friend Lucio. Thanks to everyone for the info, it was really great. Two Triestines at Očak thank him!!!!

Yesterday it was ok, from Kredarica and Planika, today it depends, surely snowing at that height.. the ridge was dry, except a few steps to do on snow on Mali Triglav, but it was soft snow and footprints, so no problem;

there won't be much snow—the path is dry—so it will stay that way too. this week no noteworthy views or weather.

Since yesterday, 50-year-old Gerhard Trammer has been missing.

He was last seen in Vrata Valley, from where he was supposed to head to Triglav.
The missing Austrian citizen is about 180 cm tall and weighs about 70 kg. He has gray hair, was last seen wearing an olive-green windbreaker and pants, and mountain boots. He had an orange mountaineering helmet with him.

Police ask anyone who knows anything about his disappearance to report it to the nearest police station or call 113 or 080 1200.

Summarized from 24ur website.

Actually, I was already at the top yesterday. Path from Kredarica: below the big marker there's still a snowfield, be careful, if it's hard at least an ice axe is needed. Further, the path over M. Triglav except some short sections on the ridge is completely dry. The protections survived the winter well, so they fully serve their purpose.

Since after the work for Panet TV I stayed at Kredarica, I decided today for another ascent.

A little before 6 I headed over the Triglav glacier (snowfields) below Triglav. In demanding conditions (lots of snow on the ledge) I crossed the north wall via Kugy ledge and via Bovška škrbina up to Triglav. Snow was everywhere hard frozen, so I walked all the time with crampons and secured myself with the ice axe. On dry sections I removed crampons twice. I descended back down below Bovška škrbina, could also via Gorjanska, but went around under west walls of Rjavca, there up to Rjavčeva škrbina and on the other side down already slightly softened snowfields to Planika. Not marked, demanding pathless terrain. Warden Irena welcomed me at the door and invited me to the kitchen. We've known each other for a long time and I'm always welcome at the "Gorjanci" whether at Planika or Dolič. We chatted a little and of course I was invited to visit when I'm around Triglav again. After the farewell I headed down to Konjski preval and further over Kurica to Krma.

There's still plenty of snow around Triglav, which of course doesn't mean you have to stay home, but proper gear is necessary, the Austrian's slip should be a warning to all who are heading these days to our highest peaks, where snowfields can still be encountered everywhere.
