Over Prag the path is super. Three short snowfields need to be crossed, ice axe help is very useful. Didn't use crampons though.

Yesterday with buddy via Bamberg path over Plemenice to Triglav. Path over Plemenice completely dry. On west Triglav plateau all the way to top of Triglavska škrbina still lots of snow. Snow was frozen in the morning, therefore winter gear mandatory. We descended via mali Triglav to Kredarica and then via Tominšek path to Vrata. Protections on Tominšek in good condition, only one short snowfield remains which doesn't pose bigger problems.

Yesterday from Krma to Triglav via Planika and then via mali Triglav. The day was quite nice for a hike in the mountains. There were quite a lot of hikers, more foreigners than local hikers. That means our mountains are attractive to foreigners, as it should be.

O, vukovivek, bravo!
So my "refreshment" on Mali Triglav maybe finally helped you a bit to get safely to the top and to the valley. The opportunity really was not one to miss, eh mežikanje. Next time with someone who will baptize you jezik.
Good luck.

Bravo Vukovivek, on Triglav you've even outdone me big grin. For tomorrow I'm already packed with MTB and other goodies for Rabac-Istra route, now without customs smile.

There are some snow patches to Planika. From Planika to the top there are three snow patches right in the lower part, so they don't pose major problems (no exposure). A week ago it went without problems without crampons. For Kredarica and Dolič Igor has already written everything.

Hello,

I would ask for info on conditions on the Triglav route, namely Krma valley-Planika-Triglav. Our family has conquered quite a few high mountain peaks. Daughters are 11 and 14 years old. This year we plan to conquer Triglav, thinking about this weekend as weather forecast is nice, but snow worries me a bit anyway... We wouldn't go to the top at any cost anyway, very nice trip also to Planika. Thank you very much for all useful info.

barand from Krma to Planika no snow, one passage Pogarce small snowfield that can be bypassed and one more snowfield under Planika a bit bigger, if going over mali Triglav for safety take crampons and happily to Triglav l.p :-)

some ice axe with you--crampons I think not needed--though it's good if the backpack is heavier. If some scramble up Jalovčev ozebnik without crampons and with poles--they even get up and down (which is death), then here no problem

From Krma no winter gear needed. We went up Saturday morning at 00:15. Somewhere above 2100-2200 we crossed a snowfield, which made no problems. All the way to Kredarica. But just before the first bolt there was about 5m steep snowfield, but with distinct steps and fairly easy to cross. Of course caution is needed. From there on all dry. Didn't go past Planika though.

Dear hikers, thanks to all for useful info and advice. We have accommodation booked at Planika, we'll wait with our decision till Friday, then we'll see... As I say, we have high mountain experience, never walked with ice axe or crampons on snow over 2000m though. Safety first, then our (especially daughter's) wish to conquer Slovenia's highest peak. In school classmates love bragging about the only peak conquered and that's Triglav, they ask why we haven't gone yet despite so many km hiked... Have a nice time and lots of safe pleasant hiking steps I wish. Still glad for any new info.

Barand,
the decision is yours, given current conditions I'd wait another 14 days to 3 weeks in your place until the snowfield disappears. As the predecessor wrote, those 5 meters, even equipped with steps, can be problematic.

I went yesterday with a friend from Dubai to Kredarica from Koča na Vojah. Lots of sunshine, along the path met only three Slovenes, rest were foreigners, overall very few people. We slept at Kredarica - path there super, snow patches ok to cross with poles. This morning we went to Triglav at 7am. Below it was a bit icy, only over one rock I had small trouble to get over, rest super, no winter gear. But yesterday three foreigners up and down took cca 3 hours and more, because obviously belaying non stop. Interesting experience being on snow above Aljažev stolp. nasmeh

Trying to attach pic, hope it shows.. nasmeh
