To Triglav?

The road is still quite damaged in three places, but with some caution and ingenuity you get to the ramp. As written, you can avoid it and park at the first lot and walk 10 min more, which I did too.

Today to Triglav via Tominšek, weather great, people extremely few for this time, mostly foreigners ..... yes, good choice and nice day :-)

I'll do like kgregor, because from the basin you can do big damage to the car.

Where exactly is that parking or where do problematic parts start, so I don't drive too far? Is the parking at end of Zasipska planina meant?

At end of Zasipska planina (flat road from hut) 14 days ago transverse ditch across road, but passable. Right after basin and small parking kgregor mentions. Then right turn and worst road part (ditch middle). Basin to ramp 1km - 10-15 extra walk.

also from Planika it was dreamy yesterday, almost alone on the path, met some friends for chat, at the top some people, going down completely alone... rarely so little traffic on the magistral...

a bit of snow, which causes no problems...2

Also today fewer people. I went up via Planika, down via Kredarica. I walked practically alone the whole way, except on the Triglav ridge where there were a bit more people. As for the road... I didn't dare cross the ditch either, so I parked the car about 100m before. mežikanje Still many drive to the end, lots of cars parked before the barrier. I'm attaching a couple of road pics.

We plan to go on Saturday, but they say bad weather. Is anyone checking the weather or heading up on Saturday?

Hello,

next Friday we're going on the "traditional" hike to Triglav. We planned to approach from Kot valley because it's unknown to us; I wonder if a circular tour exists, can't find it in the description?

Thanks and good luck to all

Hi! Look in the Julian Alps mountains list: on ascent to Stančeva koča right Vrbanova Špica left Rjavina, both very demanding especially Rjavina.

From Kot up only one path, which splits at some point towards Vrbanova Špica, later also towards Rjavina. It would be a circular tour in the sense that besides Triglav you conquer another peak, so only for the well-prepared!

Aha, great, thanks. Just time-wise I'm curious how it is; we plan to start at 12h from Kot via the climbing route over Rjavina to Kredarica, will we make it by evening? We're prepared and experienced...

On Saturday 20.07.2013 we plan to go to Triglav. Rudno polje - Vodnik - Planika - Triglav.
What's the condition of the path like? Especially under Tosec?

On Sunday 14.7.2013 I decide to head to our sheepdog,... I start early from Dolenjska and arrive in Vrata just before 4 a.m. Headlamp on and head to Tominšek path. Soon I realize the winter was really long, as it showed in my conditionjezik, ..but it went and a bit after eight I was already at the top, where there were quite a few people, conditions still quite wintery when you see the pile of snow at Aljaž Tower, .... followed by descent via Prag, ... let the pictures tell moremežikanje
Morning view towards the goal1
Snowfield on Tominškova pot, where caution is advised, especially without winter gear2
path where the snowfield is3
I met quite a few of them :)4
view of Luknja and Sovatna5
from left: Pihavec, Bovški Gamsovec, Razor which currently refuses visitors, and of course Stenar6
a little for the soul ;)7
View of Triglavske pode, where I laughed heartily on the descent :)8
Škrlatica kept hiding from me the whole time9
A little before the summit10
And thanks to a friendly Slovenian mountaineeer this photo was taken too :)11
The clouds were playing around12
We mustn't forget the Sphinx13
View of the avalanche debris that fell from Stenar14
View of the most demanding section of the path through Prag-varovala in excellent condition15
Another close-up picture - consequences of the avalanche16
And the last view of the summit,... and my 5th ascent of Triglav has ended and I hope not the last ;) GOOD LUCK TO ALL17
