Thanks for the replies! We're planning a three-day tour so we can go relaxed and easy and enjoy maximally both while hiking and then resting at some viewpoint, since the clock won't rush us! Anyway we're going already Friday afternoon by bus to Mojstrana then to Aljažev dom, where we plan to sleep and start towards Triglav right in the morning. When we get to Bohinj, we'll probably stay there another night too! So we've taken this multi-day trip really as a break from the "mad world"!

terminator...road to Kovinarska hut or a bit further (to the basin) is OK. From there on there were still big holes a few days ago. Anyway from basins to ramp about 15 min walk..

Anže, I did a similar tour 23 years ago, when I took some classmates after army to Triglav. Afternoon start from Vrata to Staniča, next day to summit past Dolič over Hribarice to lakes, third day over Komarča to Bohinj. Relaxed three-day variant is better. You'll walk snowy sections too, but it's already pretty south-facing and trampled so no problems. Enjoy far from mad world. lp

This is no longer a summit, it has become a circus They need to be stuffed like pigs!

Idiot who has no respect at all for the summit he just climbed to.... That surely belongs to the basics of mountaineering culture - not climbing on pillars and crosses, right?

Triglav is a big circus in July and August. Unfortunately, foreigners also have little respect for the tower. I suggest that passers-by aware mountaineers don't stay silent at such impudence. I'm a bit sorry that two weeks ago I didn't more sharply warn the young Scandinavians when they started cooking with a stove on the table in front of the hut entrance at Kriški podi, especially since I later (too late) found out that one of those girls then continued towards Škrlatica in flip-flops.

Can someone tell me about the difficulty of the path from Dolič to Triglav (compared to other paths to Triglav). With my better half, who has a slight fear of heights and is going to Triglav for the first time, we're setting off in August on a multi-day scenic tour to Slovenia's highest peak. I haven't gone past Dolič myself (but I've done Tominškova, over the threshold, from Kredarica and Planika), so I'd appreciate some pictures from the "difficult" sections of the path too. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to reply. Have a nice day

It's one of the easier ones and most suitable for those with vertigo or fear of heights. There are no sheer drop views on the path. It's well protected and a bit more crumbly than other approaches.

Well, at the entry to the wall someone might get dizzy... At least for me this isn't the easiest path to the top of Triglav, but it's true that none of the marked paths to the summit is all that demanding Cheers!

For someone unaccustomed to heights, there is no easy path to Triglav.

My opinion is similar to what Urbanček wrote; the path from the Dolič direction doesn't seem the easiest to me for the Father. I myself would rather tackle it from Kredarica and then descent obligatorily to Planika (descent towards Planika is definitely easier than to Kredarica). Or Planika up and down. How you do it, in the end, you decide yourselves of course.

I replied based on that because he expressed fear of heights. This path doesn't run along the ridge and you reach the summit without dizzying views on both sides of the ridge. I would also agree that the approaches from Kredarica and Planika are the best secured and thus the safest.

I join the group that says the entry into the wall from the Doliška side gives a much more dizzying feeling than the well-secured one from Kredarica.

Does anyone know if there are really mass hikes to Triglav on August 15th and 16th because of the Assumption of Mary?

Yes, of course in August there are usually crowds anyway, especially if it's nice weather and holidays, on weekends especially.
