Don't ask, from Mojstrana to Staničeva you'll be walking and walking..

Everything depends on how many days you have available and how fit you are. If you have time you can go from Trenta to Dolič (4 hours easy) then to the top. From there descend to Kredarica and overnight (16 euros room or about 12.5 for dorms with PD card). Camp also costs around 12 euros. From Bohinj side go up either via Komarča-7 lakes-Hribarice-Planika-Triglav or via Vodnikova, as above.

Where exactly in Bohinj is the starting point, at the church of St. John the Baptist? Because Bohinj is quite a broad term for me... What about from Bohinjska Bistrica, is there a starting point? How long from Bohinj to Komarča or to Planika, where I'd overnight? What about the path from Trenta to Traška hut at Dolič, is it very exposed? Also what about the path to the top, is a self-belay kit necessary?

type Triglav above and it finds all paths for you..all starting points, walking times, what gear you need..given that you give a sense of insecurity regarding the ascent to the top, the self-belay kit is mandatory...

I agree with @sandro, @Hribovc88; based on the questions you're asking, maybe it's better not to go on such a tour alone, but with someone who has some experience. Take the comment as well-meaning, that was my intent. Good luck and safe steps!

I join Sandra and John's comment. Hribovc88 - safety first, so don't set out on the path alone.

@Hribovc: You're on a forum where most people are helpful, but I urge you not to exploit that kindness. We're not the only source of info in the mountains and there are things you can find elsewhere. You ask if there's a starting point in Bohinjska Bistrica. Grab a map and look. It'll be crystal clear it's not true. On the page http://www.hribi.net/gora/triglav/1/1 all suitable approaches for your ascent are described. I think it's your duty to read them and study a bit, then maybe check a map. I promise after that you won't have questions like "is there a starting point in Bohinjska Bistrica".

Hi! A short question - tomorrow we plan to go to Triglav and wonder which is easier fitness-wise to Kredarica - from Rudno polje via Vodnikovo or from Krma valley? Thanks in advance.

Via Rudno polje... Less elevation gain.

No big difference. It seemed to me maybe a tad shorter from Krma.

Hmmm... I'm asking because the path from Krma is marked as "easy path", but from Rudno polje "difficult path". From the pictures I don't see much difference regarding the technical side, but condition-wise Rudno polje seems easier to me because it's higher. So there's no logic why that one is easy path. It confuses me a bit so I'm asking you who have walked both paths.

From Rudno polje to Triglav summit definitely not easy. Not marked that way either, look again. Easy at most to Planika. Technical side - as you say, can't judge from pictures..

@madHack: to the wall entrance both paths are easy, but can be condition-wise demanding..for the summit the easiest is from Planika over Mali Triglav; path from Pokljuka is more flat and drags on, path from Krma is steeper..if you want to Kredarica, go from Krma;
