If you judge difficulty by number of pegs and length of cables, there are none from Krma to Planika, while on the path past Vodnikov dom to Planika you encounter them here and there. Still, whoever climbs to Triglav shouldn't be bothered by that. I think condition-wise from Rudno polje isn't easier either, since you also descend in between, while from Krma it's only uphill, and slightly shorter from Krma.

Yesterday from Kota over Vrbanove špice to Očak. Water is still sufficient just below Debelim kamnom, then drought....in the throat. At the top beer for 7€, but if you want... Regards

Matej, don't exaggerate, as Keko said, whoever plans to go to the summit then that cable beyond Vodnik really doesn't mean the path is difficult??

Just to clarify, eight of us are going, and all must reach Kredarica - to the very summit next morning goes who wants so that part is currently less important to me.

Then no problem as was said...from Rudno polje there's a bit less elevation gain, from Krma it's a bit shorter. Now just decide yourselves what you like better ..Technically neither route is demanding (to Kredarica) lp.

Between Rudno polje and Krma the key difference is that return to Rudno polje is murderously drawn out. So for my taste Krma is better starting point

I've come to the conclusion that regarding public transport, Bohinj is somehow still the most suitable starting point to Kredarica. First night I'd overnight at Vodnikov dom then continue towards Kredarica and maybe also to Očak summit. Descent then to Trenta, or also to Rudno Polje, descent not big problem, ascent worries me more.

Hello! I'm interested in how much time (normal driving) it takes by car from the parking lot before Aljažev dom in Vrata to the parking lot in Kot valley. Thanks and nice mountaineering greeting!

Yesterday to the roof of the country from Pokljuka up and down. The path isn't even that boring (nice views of mountains, valley etc. all the way) but definitely psychologically tough when descending (if doing the tour in one day), with ups and downs and quite some distance. Path from Planika is easier than from Kredarica, in both cases the ridge between Mali Triglav and Triglav awaits you so once there it doesn't matter where you came from. Personally I'd say better from Vrata or Kot than Pokljuka. For transport Pokljuka is most ideal (closest, plenty of parking, good road). As for yesterday - fantastic views, clear no cloud in sky, strong sun but not hot thanks to light wind, quite a lot of people up there. Tour from Pokljuka takes about 9-11 hours.

With public transport you get from Nova Gorica to Trenta, "summer" bus line from Nova Gorica over Vršič to Ljubljana and back, runs every day in July and August. If driver is in good mood, stops at the hairpin where road to Zadnjica branches off. Time then 8:00 am, nicely slowly up Zadnjica valley towards Dolič and to Triglav, descent and overnight at Planika or Kredarica, next day nicely "touristy" to Bohinj (through Voje to old Fužina shortest).

What if the driver is not in a good mood, by how much does the path lengthen?
