To Triglav?

What happened, happened. They chose a path that's currently still damaged (warning also on this portal) on top of that long and at least to me completely unpopular. They rested a lot in between, which shows that fitness wasn't great either, plus they got sunburned, probably had dehydration issues too. In short, a bunch of problems and yet they went to the summit, warned about worsening weather. In short, a bunch of mistakes and missing essential high-mountain gear. Good that nothing worse happened the first day. But let's leave it. I'd mention Radota, who in collaboration with his Bohinj colleagues acted correctly, had great luck to find them quickly in those conditions and escort them back to Kredarica.
This reminded me of the debate years ago to just abolish the meteorological observers at Kredarica. Of course this isn't the only case where the guys up there stepped in and saved many lives, but nobody wrote about it, no debate. In short, the guys and men from Kredarica would have a lot to say on this topic. I know several such rescue cases myself.

Personally, I didn't understand it as praise. He just described what happened. Yes, it's irresponsible, but don't be so harsh. I strongly agree with TGO.
Good luck in the mountains.

On a holiday it's proper to go up. From Zadnjica over Komar, where I reach the snowfields below Doliči, I climb over them past Doliči partly on the mule track, partly on snowfields across the southern Triglav slopes. Around 2400m new snow starts. Then over Triglav notch on the snowy slab to the summit, new snow up to knees in places. At the top I wait a bit for France and Janez to come up from Kredarica, we hang the flag, then down to Kredarica. Follows the path Kredarica - Planika - Doliči. Weather wasn't bad at all, just the top in fog and some light rain down towards Trenta.

Triglavski, congratulations! You're strong, that you saved Slovenian pride and together unveiled the tricolor flag. Today there should be a bit more Slovenian spirit up there. The handsome rogue is really a true giant who rounds off the whole story.

Gladly and from the heart I sincerely join the congratulations for the idea and the ascent! All of Slovenia should really see this!
Good luck, hoping we might meet someday!

It wouldn't be anything wrong if the Slovenian flag was permanently hoisted at Triglav's summit rolling eyes. Praiseworthy, definitely.

Congratulations! You probably didn't have a really big crowd. I felt squeezed at home, as this is usually my annual TRIGLAV day too.

Hi! Interested in the path to Triglav from Krma via Kredarica? How much snow left? Is ascent already possible (safe) for hikers without ice axe and crampons, or approx when? Of course only in nice sunny weather. Thanks for answers. Lp!

The path from Krma via Kredarica to Triglav is all fine. Too little snow for skiing, not safe though, but in August it will be, then lots of sunny weather too.
The snowfield up to the wall entrance will persist for some time1

Planika is open, it says so on the official site of the Mountaineering Association of Slovenia, phone number is there so it can be checked.
