Today I went from Pokljuka to Triglav. The path is normally passable, just somewhat muddy after heavy rain! (Yesterday it snowed on Triglav in the evening.) LP

The Planika-Kredarica path is under snow well into summer.

Triglavski, what's the Dolič-Triglav path like, specifically first pegs and that gully - still any snow? Thanks for reply.

To first pegs might be some small snow but no obstacle, higher under Triglavska škrbina also some snow but could go edge past snow. Ice axe just in case not extra.

Nice greeting On Wednesday my girlfriend and I plan to go to Triglav via Tominšek route. Now I'm curious about the conditions, since the sun these days has probably melted quite some snow, or am I wrong? The biggest problem is probably where the pitons are. If there's still too much snow I'll wait a bit longer. Are crampons mandatory or recommended? Thanks for the reply. Best regards

hello given that two days ago there was snow at Kredarica of course they are mandatory in the backpack and then you decide on the spot how and what because you can slip only once and that can be fatal best regards

Hello! I went via Tominšek on Sunday to Vrbanove špice. Snow only in one place; in the narrow and steep gully somewhere in the middle of the path. Snow is firm, footprints are made too. I didn't put on crampons although I had them, but ice axe is very handy! So no snow over the climbing part via Tominšek! Also via Prag the path is dry, except one part where crossing snow is a bit easier than via Tominšek. Best regards

One variant is possible via Velska dolina past Dolič over Hribarice, Prehodavce via valley of 7 lakes, can also go from Hribarice via valley behind Kopica and under Tičarica over Štapce to the hut. Next variant is over Lazoviški preval to Planina Laz and past Planina Dedno polje to the hut at 7 lakes. best regards

Thanks for the reply. Could you maybe roughly estimate how long this route takes time-wise and which one is nicer? Thanks. LP

All variants take 6-7 hours, which is nicer I'd hardly judge, the valley of seven lakes is nice because of the lakes you pass, the valley behind Kopica is suitable for those who like peace and untouched nature, as you rarely meet anyone here. The last variant is interesting because of the pastures on the way (Laz and Dedno polje), this is nice especially in autumn when larches have their color. LP

Today I did the tour Vrata-Luknja-Plemenice-Triglav-Kredarica-Vrata. Up-down 8 hours. Without rushing. The path is normally passable. But true, lots of snow under Morbegno. No need for crampons and ice axe for ascent. I'd most recommend ice axe for descent or ascent via Tominškova, where there's still lots of snow in the gully. LP

A lot of routes to Triglav are already described, but nowhere have I seen what the conditions are from Zadnjica over Komar to Dolič and further to Triglav. Thanks for the descriptions.

The Čez Komar path is well passable, secured, but of course there's still some snow in the upper part under the mulatiera, the gullies are dry. Otherwise, on 25.6 I wrote this: On a holiday it's fitting to hop up. From Zadnjica Čez Komar, where I reach the snowfields under Dolič, I climb over them past Dolič partly along the mulatiera, partly over snowfields across the southern Triglav slopes. At height around 2400 new snow begins. Then over Triglavska škrbina along the snowy slab to the summit, new snow knee-deep in places. At the top I wait a bit for France and Janez to arrive from Kredarica, we hang out the flag, then down to Kredarica. Follows the path Kredarica - Planika - Dolič. Weather wasn't bad at all, just the summit in fog and some light rain down towards Trenta.

Has anyone descended to Vrata behind Cmir in recent days? Snow conditions interest me, like most. And the path between Kredarica and Staničeva koča. Thanks and best regards.

Why are you so obsessed with this snow, I've been walking on it every week at least three times since November and really don't see what all the fuss is. Personally it's 100 times nicer on snow than on dry ground.

In January and February I haven't noticed anyone asking if the alpine flowers are already blooming and if the larches are green yet ?!?

After the wilderness of the Western Julijci I turned today to the "besieged" Triglav. Classic, Zadnjica - Luknja - Plemenice, then I veered right under Morbegno, where there's such a nice rocky section, I climbed it (many times before too) and already stood on Morbegni, Lojze naturally wasn't home again, but winter eased his work as another wall collapsed. I turn under Triglavska škrbina, which a group of Styrians was just assaulting, they were nicely booted and equipped with helmets, example to many others. Good old "Tower" still up, but at 11.00 no people. Continue down to Planika, happy for the "old" team and young strength (Andreja) at the counter, of course we know each other from former Dolič. Can't pass the kitchen, they bake excellent pancakes, which I recommend. Follows path to Dolič, meet "old" acquaintances again, this time not building but clearing ruins, sadly recalling memories. In bad hour offer shelter, in bad thirst also some beer in the still standing structure. From Dolič recommend along mulatiera (some go straight up from hut, not safest) edge gully passable. Since I have a saw this time in "larches" area above Skok I saw off all branches snow laid on path. Quite low meet two young Czech girls and interestingly, at such meetings sometimes urge grabs me to go up once more.
