Krma - Triglav

A bit to break the bad weather and tension... mežikanje

Yesterday fantastic weather, it would be a sin not to use it. Temperatures very pleasant, for ascent to summit even in midday hours excellent conditions.
Surprisingly few visitors at Kredarica, ascent from hut to top and back I did in total solitude, which was a great gift to an already nice day.
Now let the peaks dress in winter white attire, so it will be even nicer cool

St. Nicholas Triglav

Yesterday the skis punched nicely through the Englishman, but today it was still much better with snowshoes than without aids on the feet. The summit was lonely after this heavy snowfall, so it had to be visited. Conditions are not bad and will be even better tomorrow morning due to these temps. Higher up, more or less wet snow (ridge). Fairy-tale day. It will be like this only tomorrow; on Friday, 30-50 cm of new snow is expected.

What are the conditions for the ascent Krma/Triglav?

How about avalanche danger?

I'd like to head up there for the weekend...

Via Bambergova to Triglav (23.12.17)
This year's thirtieth
Parking at Peričnik. To Luknja snowshoes mandatory. Continuation over Plemenice very snowy as befits winter. Conditions for walking/climbing good. Some parts hard, especially right above secured section above Luknja. ZTP wind-blown, summit Christmas atmosphere. Return to Kredarica and Krma.

Today many people ascended Triglav, conditions very good. Occasional light wind, otherwise very warm. Snow held well, track from Krma well trodden. Road to end of Krma valley ok, parking at 5am already quite full.

Today's Triglav in the sun. And pleasant warmth.
Started hiking in the dark and returned to the starting point in the dark.1
If you go to Triglav for one day.2
The sun is already peeking.3
