In principle, all the ferajni and mountaineering associations published warnings. Also abroad. It is true that Hungary probably doesn't have such a developed mountaineering association as the alpine countries.

Let them not rescue, fine.
But let them not prohibit (or "discourage") everything everywhere. As I already wrote before, in the past we calmly walked on all kinds of hills and cliffs, without expecting anyone to rescue us or cart off the body the same day.
Civilization has softened man to such an extent that he dares nothing anymore if he has no institutional guarantee or support!

According to Dnevnik, there were two, they started around 7am. The first was fast, reached the summit, returned and at Kredarica noticed his mate was nowhere. They searched with binoculars and spotted him motionless in Snežna konta. To me the whole thing is strange. If it's true the guy was very young, only about 22 years old, it's an even bigger tragedy.
Djimuzl: The post makes sense!!! We're in a time when rescue resources are extremely occupied, scarce and precious. If you deter someone who read it from currently unnecessary risk and save just one helicopter flight, one doctor's intervention, one injury or even one life with it, that's veeery much!
The trollish babblers are and probably will be. For your own needs you can exclude their "contributions" from the forum (see page 5/5th post on Hribi.net forum/General talk/Covid-19).
And also the request from Bojan Kos from PU Kranj (for those who haven't read it yet): "In the current conditions we therefore discourage trips to the high mountains until the situation calms. Be honest to rescuers, helicopter crews, medical staff, police and many others who are struggling right now and generally with a thousand and one tasks"

Wouldn't it be easier if the state takes a measure that until further notice the much-needed (I agree they are needed elsewhere) capacities are not wasted on rescuing those stubbornheads who still want to push into the mountains?

The mindset that one must respect government and expert advice is not panic nor hysteria, but common sense.
Continuous warnings and advice are needed. Like in cooking: constant stirring is needed, otherwise the dish burns and it's over with it - just like it can happen to a person who doesn't take warnings and advice seriously.
A normally intelligent person understands, above all respects the limitations and follows the advice and doesn't take it as bad, but as good.
PS: but there is another category of individuals: those are by default (hysterical) political intolerant ones who are against everything, even the good, about them I wouldn't...

I read the explanation of yesterday's accident on the previous page. I don't know, but if two go to the mountains together, why don't they go together. I know, probably the guy couldn't help him if he slipped. But that's not the way, to run so far ahead that he didn't even know where he was. If they went together the ascent could have ended differently.
My thinking and view on such things.

@redbull - until further notice the conditions for Očak and other potentially dangerous mountains are clear to everyone (smart ones) - NO POINT GOING. Rescuers have smarter work than rescuing you for the third time.
Sorry for the sharpness, but wife is a doctor, daughter works at 080 1404, at home I have an 89-year-old mom.
