At Planika service is all like it was years ago. Unfortunately also sanitary facilities. But the young working there are trained. Everything went as we agreed.
Thanks for the congratulations!

Winter Triglav first of September. They say so much snow on that day they haven't measured up there yet. Interesting conditions, especially over Škrbina, sank even to knees, gaiters would come in handy. To Kredarica mainly very slippery.

Snow-covered Triglav (01.09.20)

A nice morning had formed. Around ten-something I headed past Lesa. The lake is already a staple here. A bit further one can hardly avoid the water on the path. To Prgarica it was very stuffy, from kurica onwards only fresher. It was whitened from Planika height onwards. It was "brozga". Caution due to slipperiness had to be greater. Wind was only around 20-30 km/h. Descent to Kredarica and after always pleasant chat slowly (read: fast) to the valley.

Hello,
if maybe someone today headed to Triglav from Kredarica, I'd ask for some info on conditions. Are crampons needed?
Thanks

Tomi, crampons are for frozen snow.

Question if there's any snow left at all. Those who have such questions end of August, beginning of September I think shouldn't even think about ascent. Regarding weekend no worry, hut is already full, so everyone should think well where to go
Good luck

I didn't cancel quick deal for yesterday Triglav, after Saturday crowd today significantly fewer. Weather was supposed to hold until about 9, and it did. Start from Krma towards Planika and via Gorjanska to Triglav top, where we didn't meet anyone, few at summit, descent to Kredarica and valley.

I'm interested if this Saturday already less crowd than previous and apparently had to wait long on Kredarica-Summit-Kredarica path?

Don't doubt it's great then and sometimes really envy your feats. But sadly not capable for such high mountains in winter, so settle for what I can. nasmeh

Yesterday from Krma through the notch to Triglav. Path from Planika didn't seem too crumbly, perfectly passable even back. We returned to Kredarica. Despite Tuesday tons of people. While alone through notch, queues on ridge extended path by at least half hour. Total 2000m elevation, 20km in 9.5 hours.

Seinfeld, yeah, yesterday we made the jam, all who said for weekend no way in such crowd. eek This year's high altitude visit surge really interesting corona side effect.

I took our youngest as she begged to go up this year. Used yesterday's perfect weather. We were attraction cuz kid so pumped. Thought of Gorjanska for crowd but first-timer view from Mali Triglav to main ridge priceless.

Note conditions: vertical under Mali Triglav, above upper traverse from Kredarica, big part of cable torn hanging loose (noticed weeks ago), just posts left. Problematic for heavy self-belay relyers.
