Hi everyone,
I plan to go to Triglav at full moon, so I'm interested which starting point is most suitable?

I don't know how true it is, but I heard that the path from Rudno polje to Vodnikov dom is closed due to rock and sand slide from Tosca.

Maybe someone knows more about it,..
since that's usually my path to Triglav, I'm interested in how long such paths are usually closed or if someone can recommend another comparable path..

Thanksnasmeh

I plan to go to Triglav at the end of June, and I'm interested in the path from Pokljuka, is it possible at all over those rocks or totally impossible? How about the path from Krma, is there lots of fallen trees? And how is the ascent from Kredarica, is there much snow before entering the wall?
Thanks and best regards, B.nasmeh

The path from Pokljuka is officially closed. From Krma you can go directly to Planika or Kredarica, so you skip Vodnikov dom and shorten the path by about an hour. Usually end of June to Kredarica there are still some snowfields, which are hard in the morning and dangerous for slipping.

You can go at your own risk across the landslide. Just don't blame, dear Totalček, in case of accident the maintainers, trail markers and others who work on hiking trails. LpFrancnasmeh

I didn't say I'd blame anyone, I was just curious if that thing is passable, I don't intend to provoke an accident at all. How about from Kredarica to the top?

From Kredarica to the wall entrance you can expect some snow. If icy, bypass it on the left side, otherwise no problem.

Do I need crampons and ice axe or can it be done without? How is it up the ridge then?

No problems on the ridge as far as snow goes. Only if new snow falls.

At Kredarica there was still 140cm this morning. On Friday it will snow in the high mountains.

The snow is mostly not too hard, so didn't use crampons, but better to have them in the backpack just in case. Ice axe is nice to have in hand on steep snowfield!

Forgot, has anyone gone via Dolič already? The path there is probably dry too....

How is it from Kredarica, still snow before the wall? Is Planika open too yet?

From Kredarica one snow patch before wall, no winter gear needed.

Planika not open yet.
