People, for God's sake, you have no fitness. Before heading to Triglav do 10 tours over 2000m, then to Triglav.

Amater...that means 4! If so, I have exactly 4 spots reserved at Kredarica, because we moved from Kredarica to Planika for overnight. There I already have reserved via club, so I can give you the reservation for 4 people...

Yes, I then figured out your above-mentioned problem too, but unfortunately..... for Sunday it would be possible. We actually start on Sunday morning.

My son and I are also going to Triglav on Sunday from Pokljuka. Planika and Kredarica were already full, so I booked Dolič although it's a bit out of the way since we're returning to Pokljuka. I would be very glad for two free beds at Planika or Kredarica. LP

Today from Vrata to Triglav via Plemenice, weather super, path bp. Otherwise the summit was very crowded from all sides today.... I add only that half the people who climbed to the summit today were without proper gear....

Yesterday I wandered a bit around Triglav. From Kot up to Staničev dom then to Vrbanove Špice and Begunjski Vrh. I agree with the previous on gear (few had helmets, if they had climbing kit it was still in backpack), from Staničev dom clear processions approaching and descending Triglav. Weather was OK. You see what kind of people go to Triglav. From Kot to Staničeva I overtook a group that was apparently going to Triglav and already complaining on fixed ropes (which should be more or less decoration for Triglav approachers) how it's a 'strange path'. Well, I thought, if that's strange for you I don't recommend further than Staničeva let alone Kredarica. Don't know, maybe gear still in backpack or not. Child with them. When I returned from nearby peaks to Staničeva I saw them sitting there. And while looking around peaks I heard remark: oh, how many planes visible! At Staničeva I saw and heard someone already a bit tipsy ranting. Some are drunk even before reaching Kredarica...

I too yesterday morning with group from Planika to Triglav summit then down to Kredarica. At 7 on summit then descent where we witnessed incident, fist-sized rock flew over wall past us over some heads (luckily) hit mountaineer in arm below us then further.... Luckily nothing serious and I add that most people go to mountains without proper gear and without thinking about safety in mountains.

Three days in the hills, very nice. Thursday from Rudno polje to Vodnikov dom then over Konjsko sedlo to Kredarica. Next day at 7:00 ascent to Triglav, not many people. Left packs at Mali Triglav, on way back went to Planika then to Dolič via Hribarice to Koča pri Sedmerih jezerih. Slept there, next day via Štapc from Dedno polje to Koča na Planini pri jezeru and to car at Blatno polje. Weather wonderful, clear on Triglav, unforgettable. Recommend!!!

Is there a crowd on Triglav in September too?

Started from Vrata on Saturday morning, via Plemenice to Triglav and after lunch at Kredarica via Prag back to Vrata. I thought I was fit, but I was seriously mistaken... Definitely exceptional experience, unforgettable - the whole thing perhaps spoiled only by the indescribable crowd.

We also went to Triglav this weekend, from Vrata to Staničeva koča and on to Kredarica then to the summit, next morning up again and then down to Krma. Problem on the ascent was only the Saturday climb to the summit, where a column was rolling, most with inappropriate behavior thinking they're alone on the path. You immediately spot the group or person facing bolts and cables for the first time. And of course such first-timers rush to Triglav. What happened at Kredarica Saturday evening and late night is unprecedented, I think PZS and Lj Matica should question their sanity. Unlimited alcohol sold, in the hut shouting like in a club, didn't know if in mountain hut or elsewhere. Dancing on tables, screaming, ma ja blasting, drunk groups. Trash in hut like landfill. Hut warden should think about reasonable limits and till what hour revelry ok. Let there be cheerful vibe, not chaos. Not mentioning other details (vomit stairs to rooms,...). So in one word, speechless. Even bar staff said Saturday night was really crazy.

On Saturday morning my wife and I started from Krma-Planika-Triglavska škrbina-summit. Secured path over the notch and on to the top, nicely arranged. Crowd indescribable, people's equipment very poor. We returned the same way. Regards.

No, on 16.08.2010 I saw two "mountaineers" (probably Dutch). The woman was carrying a backpack, the guy had the baby in front, who was crying. When they were coming towards us, I couldn't believe hearing a baby who had set out to climb Prag That's not normal either, besides Czechs and Bulgarians in walking gear. That was on the descent. On the ascent I met no one, on the summit only a couple of people.

Me too, on 17.8. I encountered such things: completely exhausted Macedonian/Bulgarian woman who was almost dragged to the summit, uncultured meetings on the path (due to yielding at the wrong spot where the oncoming group pushed forward, I almost slipped), one small family (dad + three kids) simply snacking by the cables while we two waited piously, elderly people almost without balance, small kids roped around the waist and many without anything, not to mention the disastrously bad footwear.. Party with accordion first at Vodnikova, then at Kredarica, shouting, screaming.. And then pride over the "conquered" Father.. Because of all this, the Triglav hike sadly can't represent anything other than a trophy, since you get no peace and thus genuine contact with nature, except beautiful panoramic views (if the weather allows). Almost everywhere else can be nicer, or at least friendlier.
