Winter keeps striking back every week, but in the lowland it's greener every day...

Tadej, I was there. Šentanski plaz was nicely frozen in the morning and quick to ascend. Turned into Lenuhova gully and back via the descent route.

Ha, Tadej's and Volk986's midday posts got me out of Saturday lounging. Started from car around 3 pm, Šentanski plaz quite softened, no tracks. Sinking to mid-boot, sometimes less, here and there to below the knee. 50m below edge much colder, put on crampons, necessary for last meters. Ridge to summit partly bare and icy, partly snowy. Thick fog there, light snow, little wind. Hard to see ridge edge and possible cornices. Soon at plaque for pilot killed in 1955 crash. Never seen plaque, online only rescue report of deceased and survivor (PV 12/1956). Behind peaklet with plaque some notch, hard to judge in fog. Therefore and due to late hour turned back, though nav showed 150 m and 30 m height to summit. On descent tried to avoid my track so it might still be usable for someone today or tomorrow. Some pics attached to illustrate the conditions.

@j. you were really close to the top. Where that memorial plaque is is the exit from gully Y. From there, a few steps to the Begunjščica summit.

Many thanks, @Pikica. Now I know more! Yes, the summit was really close, I missed it by about 50m earlier when following the ridge instead of crossing the slope. Fog is fog...
