Ajdna

Description of mountain:
Ajdna is a peak with a nice view towards Stol, Jelovica, Pokljuka and Julian Alps. There's also a nice view towards the part of the valley Gornjesavska dolina between Žirovnica and Jesenice. Otherwise, Ajdna is known for archaeological site. Here was a mountain settlement already in fifth to sixth century. On Ajdna was placed first Christian church in Slovenia. Who was a patron saint of the church isn't known, mass is every last Saturday in June at the spot where used to stand a church. Besides the church are renovated also other finds and secured with a roof, which is preventing the destruction of renovation. On the summit, there is an inscription book.
