Description of mountain:
Ajdna is a peak with a nice view towards Stol, Jelovica, Pokljuka, and the Julian Alps. There is also a good view of part of the Upper Sava Valley between Žirovnica and Jesenice. Otherwise, Ajdna is known for its archaeological site. A mountain settlement existed here in the 5th to 6th centuries. Ajdna hosted the first Christian church in Slovenia. The patron saint of the church is unknown, but mass is held every last Saturday in June at the site where the church once stood. In addition to the church, other finds have been reconstructed and protected with a roof to prevent damage. There is a registration book at the summit.
