Conditions on Sunday: Whoever makes the effort and pushes through 100 meters of elevation of fallen trees right at the start, a nice panoramic path awaits higher up. No more snow, except one small patch right on the top.

Maybe someone knows the condition of the road to Vrata? On the site www.promet.si it says "RT-908, Mojstrana - Vrata, complete closure due to damaged road surface." On the map the closure is marked halfway between Mojstrana and Peričnik.

Somehow I don't feel like trudging 2 hours along the road and I'm curious how bad the damage is or if maybe one could still drive further.

The road into Kot is theoretically passable, because foresters cleaned it first to haul out logs with machinery. But it's a full worksite, wind-broken trees are very dangerous as they are tense like a bow and can snap dangerously even on touch. Better wait another week until foresters finish.

And even when the Kot and Krma valleys will be open again, they will look quite different from what we were used to

Today's conditions:
Park at Krma start by Pocarjeva farm. Foresters dragged road further km, but it worsens and no parking at end. Road has plastic car parts from those who pushed too far.
Track and ski track laid, morning both hard as concrete. Put crampons on at shepherd hut. Foot track to Triglav top, most protections out. Snow in traverse bit crumbly, if trip hard to stop with axe pick.

First snow on Baba. For now more like a sample, Tuesday brings the first serious load.

Today my buddy and I went to check Škrnatarica. As expected at the end of hot summer, no snow in the gully below the summit. No real climbing in this gully, once you have to scramble onto a rock. More need to watch out if more people, so upper ones don't roll stones on lower ones.
Access to the top of Škrnatarica looks difficult at first glance, vertical crack and belay on top convinced my buddy he didn't want to try without rope. Luckily I remembered the note that left around the corner there's another passage. There it looks steeper, actually easier and holds are very good. But no peg inside, so those 3 moves up and down.

Today's report without ads:
Triglav is still there, path widely trodden, all fixed protections out of snow, lots of people on top. Snow was still nicely firm at 7am, later friends said it was already mushy.

Road to Krma still a challenge, hard in morning, bike tracks sometimes too deep for normal cars. Before Kovinarska hut space for about 10 cars, otherwise good alternative bike, which goes nicely in the middle between tracks, and no parking issues.

The path over Prag was nicely covered with snow yesterday, mostly hard and good to kick steps in. Access starts from Peričnik.

Today up via Kačji graben. Snow starts when you get out of the forest (ca. 1900 m). Upper slope partly in shade and crampons are needed there. Rocks below summit are dry.

Today the upper third of the road was filled, rolled and ready for asphalt, lower parts still preparing. Hope winter doesn't catch them.

Today's conditions:
Road through Krma valley is long, because you start in Radovna . Road plowed only to end of village, there they made space for a couple of cars.
In forest above summer parking pedestrians sink in, currently no consistent track (about 5 people each looking for passages their own way).
From Prgarca on I put crampons and walked nicely on hard base, was very early though. Touring skis are a more elegant choice.
For summit good to have 2 ice axes, no trodden usual highway but single footsteps. Some fixed protections sticking out, some snow traverses to cross. Snow at 11am pretty soft and I kicked steps well into it.

On Saturday no barrier, but could drive only about a kilometer further. Where meadows end and road climbs, all snowed in and impassable, so long walk to Planina Blato. Especially if that's just the start.

Yesterday I went up Via della Vita to MKM. As Ivona already wrote, lower part of the ferrata nicely renovated, upper all the same as before.

Today with the hut and service in it everything was in perfect order (stoked stove, fresh strudel and lots of visitors)
