On Sunday an acquaintance was there and says you can drive by car to Logarski kot.

If he mentioned proper equipment, does he then have to be photographed with an ice axe in hand or what?

bumslpepe Nice that you shared this with others. Snow anyway hasn't fallen so much that someone might think something like that could happen. But the risk is always there and an avalanche has buried many more experienced or the most experienced, who probably studied all variants. Therefore it seems inappropriate to point the finger at someone in these tragic moments. Ruth rest in peace

I see that people don't follow weather conditions at all. Anyone who goes to the mountains should at least keep an eye on the weather conditions with one eye. Just for info, in the last days there was mostly a temperature inversion and the snow has mostly gone, anyway there wasn't much of it. Maybe it still lies somewhere in a very shady spot, the rest is snow-free. For the weekend it looks like it will be quite cold in the mountains, so some snow patch will be the least problem. Dress warmly for minus temperatures and that's it.

Joža x, you like that, some don't care if it's fog or whatever. Some go to mountains to see all the way to the sea, some don't care. Me personally too. Just no storms.

Drive to Kranjska Gora and then hike to Planica and further to Tamar. Path easy. But check the weather first of course. Because some shower-thunderstorm can cross your path.

It misled me a bit, because you wrote "today", but no snow on pics, which should be there after yesterday's snowfall. Then I opened the pics and saw you were up there on 14.5. not today.

I'll say it like this. Yes, they wanted to move the tower to a museum and with the recent events up there, where some literally vent on the Slovenian symbol, I'm slowly starting to agree with that. What do we need the tower for on top of Slovenia when most don't respect it at all. Suddenly someone will make a hole inside and everything will be destroyed. So I think it would be better off in the museum than to see it in a couple of years on top of Triglav all battered. I don't know, I'm still of two minds where it should stand, but slowly I'm leaning towards the museum. Whoever damages it in any way (even if it's a replica up there), let them slap a high fine, although no money can outweigh this greatest Slovenian symbol.

sin narave, one star got colored for you cuz you clicked the first star. otherwise first star (left) is worst possible rating, last (right) highest. how many colored in multiple ratings is the average. simple as pasulj. sorry for off.

nice pics and nice tour but don't know who you pissed off to stick a 1 under every photo. I fixed the average a bit with tens.

when folk rushed to Kredarica at avalanche danger level 3, nobody complained. now the guy goes up, says how and what and that there's no panic, and already fire in the roof. anyway I fully believe it's like that. KS Alps didn't get nearly as much snow as western Julians and avalanche danger accordingly. Or the question is where new snow fell at all, since even western Julians had snow line mostly around 1700 m. apovalej nice pics

Nice IZ Mountain lover, true. This winter was very modest with snow on the highest peaks except for the western Julian Alps. Almost disastrously poor was this winter. But the 08/09 winter was really exceptional. On Kanin records were broken, when unbelievable 8-9 meters of snow were measured, the road to Vršič on April 22nd looked like this: Crazy super, nothing else http://vimeo.com/7660360
